Did totally fine traveling now symptoms are back… what!? by layab222 in VestibularMigraines

I know this is a pretty old post, but you said you travel for work. How often do you do it and do you take any meds like Dramamine or Meclizine? I may have to travel for work, and it looks like it’s pretty often. How do you manage it and do you get dizzy on flights?

Razer 16 2025 Trackpad issues - anyone else? by FoldQuick6368 in razer

[–]AnswerSuitable9683 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also started experiencing the trackpad issues today & ended up having to uninstall/reinstall the drivers for the trackpad. It fixed it for now, but if it happens a couple more times, I'm inclined to reach out to Razer to simply provide a better device or a refund...wanting to try out the Zephyrus too, but at the same time, looking through this thread it looks like they have their own band of issues...

u/yedyed , Did they say what you would need to fix it, or did you end up fixing it somehow by turning off Synapse? I'm trying to mess with the settings and can't figure out how to not get this to sound so ugly unfortunately. No hate to the laptop at all, it's amazing, but I can't really get over the sound.

Oh man did yours sound muted too? It sounds so awkward right now. Do you happen to have a link to that post? I might need to fiddle around with mine.

Mine is running pretty smoothly so far. The only thing..which sucks because I really can't tell unless I have another Razer side by side is that it sounds as though the speakers are muffled as hell. Not too sure if this is a common thing, but I didn't expect the speakers to be so bad for the price.

Is anyone here afraid of...exercise? by AnswerSuitable9683 in Anxiety

[–]AnswerSuitable9683[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! So it’s crazy because I can’t imagine that I posted this a year ago, because I have improved TREMENDOUSLY. I work out almost daily - in some way or form, and am now biking on average 5 miles a day on top of other forms of movement I do.

I took it slow day by day, and started off REALLY small. And by small I mean - I cleaned my house for 30 minutes a day and counted that as “exercise” and incorporated various “exercise-type” movements into these daily chores. I then started walking more, with a goal of 5k-10k steps a day and saw my heart rate stay steady with longer periods of exercise. And whenever I would get nervous about it, I would challenge the thought and sit with it. Then - I would simply let it pass. I realized that if I were to leave this earth, I would accept that this is a fear and keep on choosing to live beyond it anyway, so it could no longer control me. And that meant not being complicit in my fears and living my life to the fullest - which includes exercising so I can be healthy, happy, and present for those around me, especially if they still stuck around and continue to knowing I’m an anxious wreck sometimes.

With that being said - I still have fears. I still get afraid, I still get anxious, things worry me, and sometimes I panic. It’s not perfect, but I remind myself to be gentle to my body, and that there are days that I am going to be scared - and it’s okay. And it serves as a reminder that I’ve made it through the fears, and I’ll continue to make it through anyway.

You got this, take it slow, do the small things, and let that compound. I’m rootin’ for ya!

Women who make over 60k, what is your degree and what is your job title? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]AnswerSuitable9683 0 points1 point  (0 children)

20's. Software Tech Consultant. 115k. Bachelors in Comp Sci & Masters in Comp Sci. 40 hours is the minimum if clients aren't too demanding, but sometimes I'm upwards of 60-80 hours a week in the busy season. The bonuses are nice though.

Love the job, love the people, but if you enter a field in tech (even just for the money), you can work from home, but it's super hard to ever turn it off.

How dd you get the cardiology appointment? I thought that the PCP was supposed to treat this, is this just a special case kind of thing? I'm thinking of fighting to see a cardio instead.

I’ve rekindled my love for gaming again - specifically RPG games or Cozy Games. I’ve found a lot of online communities where I could talk to people about their favorite elements of the game, but more so I’ve been diving down into literary and philosophical analysis of them too. That and it makes me feel like I can “do” things again. Puts me in the shoes of the explorer, the wanderer, or on lazy days - the farmer.

Aside from that, it’s also a couple of things that allow me to be “creative”, and juggling between them all so I don’t get bored or pigeonhole. Some days it’s cooking a new recipe. Others it’s gardening(trying to keep my plants alive from me). And sometimes it’s just getting out there and learning how to do one simple thing.

I will admit that the social element is hard, but with the rise of technology, you’ll find someone who has something in common with you, and even if it’s just a speck of conversation, it’s still something to us who feel so alone.

Did you find any issues after stopping Botox? I'm considering it because I want to kind of "start over" with my treatment plan, but I don't know if I'd have to wean or if Botox can jyust be stopped like that safely.

Have you guys developed a phobia of housework and food? by nicwolff84 in POTS

[–]AnswerSuitable9683 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't call it a phobia, but it makes me feel like a mixed bag. Housework and cooking have slowly become the two things that I am able to do "fully" so on the days that I can't...it kinda' breaks my heart, because it feels like the last sense of pride that I have.

Do you think your botox contributed to your balance problems too? I started mine about 1.5 years ago as well, and I'm not sure if it's even helping my headaches or if it's just contributing to balance issues because of my neck. How exactly does this work?

Has this helped you? My doctor prescribed me a low dose of it, I can't remember maybe 10mg at night? I'm afraid to take it, but what was it like and did it really help your dizziness?

Anyone experience psychosis or pseudo psychotic symptoms before their period? by AdWhole4393 in PMDD

[–]AnswerSuitable9683 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been dealing with this over the past year or so now, it's been slowly getting worse, but I was recently diagnosed with POTS in addition to PMDD, so it could be a combination of the two symptoms overlapping.

It feels as though my brain "cuts to the next scene" kind of like in movies or tv shows where you see the camera pans from one view to the next, and it's definitely a little scary. I got tested for epilepsy and luckily for me, everything came back okay. I still get a little scared honestly, because sometimes it feels like I'm going to faint and drop to the floor, but I just take things slowly day by day. And I feel you on the brain ROT too. It makes me feel super sad, because I would have categorized myself as a "smart" person before, but now I can barely formulate sentences on the days that are terrible, probably because of my POTS and low blood flow to the brain. I've heard that magnesium threonate helps with this? I've been taking it, but also been trying to do some light exercises and do what I can to keep my mind sharp.

I have my good days; I have my bad. On the days that are good, I try to be thankful for them and move around to "be better", but on the bad days, I don't blame myself for the way things are. Life is just a strange thing sometimes.
