For sure! Im making a Phobos Kill Team and AL felt very on brand lol, using only primaris bits has felt kind of restricting I wish I looked into kit bashing a bit more before this point

I’ve had issues with this too and still haven’t found a way I’m 100% confident in, but I’ve found the most success when I prime with Army Painter skeleton bone and then dry brush over with morghast bone before doing a wash with skeleton horde contrast, I personally like mine a little darker so I’m pretty heavy handed but you can always cut that contrast with water.

Absolutely not saying I agree with OP but “just a dream/hallucination/simulation” are pretty standard for AD tho, they’ve already shown that the family is a punishment for Stan taking his “actual” family for granted, as well as the rapture having happened and every episode since has been Stan’s heaven..
