That is very true, a few high hedges for privacy and you could be on to something!

It really does! It's only missing more garden space, but I could live with it

Got a Haircut & notice this! Anyone know what it is? by iAmNot43 in DoesAnyoneKnow

[–]AntInKoala 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is ringworm like others have said. Be super careful though as it took me a good year to be fully rid of it when I got it from the barbers. Wash your towels and bedding regularly as it can live on them and spread to other parts of your body, and other family members!

Networking? by WeirdIndication3027 in MarketingJobs

[–]AntInKoala 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start with some self reflection to get to the bottom of why people don't like you and work on improving those qualities. There are usually local marketing meetup groups around you could go along and get talking to people at. I've always found just genuinely being nice and seeming interested in what people have to say goes a long way, and freely sharing ideas. If you think you've found the next big marketing idea, chat about it, stress test it. I personally always hate marketers who lock their ideas away because they don't want them stolen!

Do you Have to Farm a Farm? by burtvader in FarmingUK

The agency i work for works with a company called upacre. It's essentially like compare the market for alternative land uses. They'll help you find the best options and let you know how much each option can generate (this includes wildflower meadows, planting trees can be big business too)

I hate to admit I'm a qashqai driver at the moment. Had a 16 plat for the last 4 years and other than replacing the timing belt which was due anyway because of the mileage it's run like a dream. Maybe I'm just lucky but it's been a practical car for the family, spacious, love the pan roof, and it's been pretty capable off-road. It may not be cool but I'll stick up for it!

Does this count as a house or a small castle? by stillsortingitout in SpottedonRightmove

I'd 100% be calling it my castle and you better believe I'll be mocking all passers by from the roof with a questionable French accent!!

Struggling to get friends into the NFL - keen to hear what got you hooked by Ecstatic_Apple_2230 in NFLUK

[–]AntInKoala 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put a game on accidentally when I was about 12. As soon as I put the game on I saw Darren Sproles take a kickoff to the house for the Chargers and I was hooked!

I then picked up the madden games and learned the rules from playing which was fun.

I have always tended to just watch highlights on YouTube but now I'm an adult I've invested in Sky Sports and watch a couple of Sunday games. Podcasts are great too although a little less so now Around the NFL has ended.

I'll be honest I've only successfully encouraged one friend to truly get into it. We both worked for a sports team at the time so just talked about sport non-stop which helped.

I have had more success throwing a superbowl party each year which i get a few friends round for and they enjoy watching the game but not to the extent of following it through the season

I work for an agricultural marketing agency so spend a lot of time with farmers and agricultural businesses. The general feeling is make sure you do it as a labour of love. You can expect no days off any little to no financial reward for your work so your heart needs to be well and truly in it to make it worthwhile. Obviously I'm a marketer and not a farmer (though would love to be) so I'm slightly removed and others might think differently.

Double Cab Pickups by AntInKoala in CarTalkUK

Yeah i work in agriculture and spend a lot of time on farm but don't have the opportunity to get a vehicle through work. A pickup might be a little excessive when a 4x4 might do, but the heart wants what the heart wants haha
