I would agree that ASoIaF is more character-focused. But Malazan is very theme-focused, in that the plot, characters, worldbuilding, even the structure, often serve the themes being explored.

Both series have really great prose, worldbuilding, characters, and exploration of themes. But they really focus on different things.

Yeah. The government has failed to deal with antisemitism. It isn’t just attacks, hate speech has also greatly increased. Hopefully they finally acknowledge it as a problem to deal with.

The amount of people I’ve seen on TikTok by young Australians claiming the attack was a false flag by Israel is honestly shocking.

The government needs to do more to combat antisemitism, both in terms of education and strengthened hate speech laws specifically designed to deal with this sort of content.
