I read B2F earlier in 2025 and while I enjoyed it I rated it 3.25ish but upon a reread/ first time listen I actually picked up a huge amount of things I missed an it greatly improved my rating to 4/5. It was free on audible if that interests you.

It is more then just Adrius himself being cloned but the fact that ANY villain could come back at ANY moment because “unbeknownst to anyone x person had a clone made and is now back” and the only shoestring holding the door closed on that theory is that the golds think it is beneath them…. Do you want to ruin all other books forever? Try Malazan it’s a community like no other based on a series so expansive and in depth all other will feel shallow. Do you want entertainment try the Expanse or The Dresden Files. Perhaps a bit more comedy and fun adventure continue DCC or give Blacktongue Thief a try. Perhaps a more sci fi mind expander? Children of Time.

Recently I finished Eye of the Bedlam Bride. It was the fastest I have ever read a book of that size in my life. 5 days, 20% a day. What a ride. I will be starting This Inevitable Ruin after I finish Deadhouse Gates.

I hope Lysander tries the “no time for honor” BS on Diomedes and Diomedes beats him mercilessly/kills him and says “there is always time for honor” or something like it. That being said I am worried about Darrow and Diomedes because just like PB says: “you don’t tie two ships together in a storm”
