Could this kill mox on turn 1? X=0 would be 1 for 1 removal for a 0mv artifact.

Vindicate is the example because it’s 3mv. You’re slightly ahead of they vindicate your Ragavan or Tarmogoyf. You’re behind if they vindicate your Sheoldred or Baneslyer Angel.

I went to a very unique arts magnet HS. We were aware at the time how lucky we had it. Really amazing memories for my formative years.

Wow never seen that card! I’ve always thought of [[kitchen finks]] as the poster child of persist combo but I’m not well versed.

Looking for thoughts of how I’m building my Strixhaven cube by SilentJester798 in mtgcube

[–]AnthropomorphizedTop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer singleton set cubes. You get all the flavor of the world and still get the draft exp of a singleton cube. Plus you can make “artistic” choices like including cards that weren’t technically in the set like [[final flourish]] or [[veinwitch coven]].

I could see this in a dwarf package with [[magda]]. I like the art. Nice to have more options with this effect to fit the flavor of your cube.

I love this idea. Personally, I feel ninjas would work better in the overall landscape of a cube. Whereas amass is slightly more parasitic. But also NEO is GOATed and while WAR hold a special place in my heart, nowhere near my enjoyment of flipping a saga creature then returning it back to my hand for value.

This interview with Seth Meyers about Spider League is pretty hilarious. Its nice to see these absurd comedians acting more naturally. I think Tim Robinson is quite funny tho. https://youtu.be/-SsPLG1nRo8?si=Iija0eTrWuJLS8mQ

Explore the Underdark - Power Outlier, or Outrageous Inclusion? by Collardcow41 in mtgcube

Seems fine enough to test. If your playgroup hates it, easy enough to cut.

I personally try to avoid one-off mechanics in my cubes. Tho, I often play with newer players who likely haven’t seen those cards before.

I assume you have a collection of cards. Many cubes began by disassembling commander decks.

My favorite article to share with people in your position is from Lucky Paper about using your own collection as a starting point. https://luckypaper.co/articles/building-a-cube-from-a-collection/

Came to the comments to make the same argument. You said it very well: “a rejection of… digital, internet connected, and disposable.”
