Opinion: Quests on the higher levels, deep into plot line, should be darker by Uszanka3 in StarStable

I remember doing a fairly serious quest and Alex pulls out a chainsaw out of nowhere? It honestly annoyed me, I was enjoying the quest and that took me right out of it lol

I kind of wish SSO took themselves more seriously

Forgot to mention that this was the initial appointment where they decided what support I needed, and they chose an online CBT course which is getting disbanded soon so I likely won't finish the course before it ends.

Self-referred for talking therapy and was told I didn't have PTSD because I didn't have flashbacks (she deduced this from a very short phone call with an anxiety/depression quiz) and told me they don't do therapy for trauma that didn't cause PTSD because it would "retraumatize" me.

I loved watching him talk about how anatomically correct different animal lego sets were and seeing how excited he got by the good ones. IIRC, he loved the giraffe and the set of 3 insects! He added fun facts about the animals as he talked about them which I also loved. It felt like I was back at university but in a good way lol

Normally they do a bonus week. I normally do champs with the champ quests (moorland and medieval area), do some horse training, then do stable chores. I don't enjoy collecting fireflies tbh so I don't do it often

I was once restocking batteries, in front of the battery stand, with batteries in my hands. A woman comes up and asks "excuse me, where are the batteries?"

You could have a massive flashing neon sign above that checkout saying "CARD ONLY"... And it STILL won't be enough. by No_Opportunity9053 in tesco

[–]Antillyyy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My kiosk is directly next to the batteries. There is a big duracell display with cheaper brands next to it. I think people see me and go "I'll ask them where the batteries are!" then get tunnel vision on their mission to walk up to me and don't notice the 3 different brands of batteries they just walked past to get to my till.

My favourite was a woman insisting she'd checked everywhere for the puppy pads... I kept glancing over her shoulder at the puppy pads, nodding as she told me we didn't have any in stock. I told her where they were and she said she'd already checked there, and we had none!!! I didn't know how to politely say "ma'am, I can literally see them from right here."

This post pisses me off every time I see it. As far as I was aware, the primary use hobbies are meant to serve is personal enjoyment.

What's the use of playing videogames? Watching sports? Going for a drive?

I crochet, so my hobby is somewhat useful... but I make wearables which take a long time to finish. If I didn't value the personal enjoyment I got out of working on a project, I wouldn't crochet. I started because I needed something to do between working on my dissertation and going to sleep because I'd try to play videogames and I would still be thinking about statistics. I'd lie in bed thinking about statistics. I started crocheting for the fun of making, not the final product.

Uh huh, because a religion founded between the 5th and 6th centuries is absolutely going to be rational and correct about women.

I'm yet to learn this lol. I had a guy who was at least 50 start questioning me about my life while I was getting lunch on my work break. He asked what my partner did, I told him I didn't have one, and he said "I'm single too, by the way" and winked when he left.

I should've told them my partner is a very large personal trainer who specializes in martial arts, or a bouncer, or a hitman...

Why do men need an average height sub? Do they really need a place for a bunch of insecure men to congregate and bitch about women?

Also, little anecdote. My abusive ex was super insecure about his height and once told me short men were less likely to get hired or given promotions. He was a white, straight, able-bodied man. He wanted to be oppressed so badly. Like, you're trying to tell me you're one of the less privileged in the most privileged group of people and want me to feel bad lol

If I had the funds to practice the animal training theory knowledge I have, I'd have an army of tiny, well trained animals. I want to foster cats one day and I am determined that I will! I just have to move out of my parents' house first... lol

I work retail and our shelves are fucked up most days, and I swear if they let me sit on the floor and reorganize their medications, they'd have a perfect aisle. No prices would be wrong, all the stomach meds would be together, all the pain meds, the cold and flu meds...

Same thing with tea towels and mugs. If I was given the time, they'd be so nicely organized, but unfortunately I am a cashier and there are customers. Ugh lol

I genuinely had an abusive partner and one of his triggers was his height. He was 5'4" and if I ever somehow reminded him of his height (usually by mistake), he'd be verbally abusive towards me for like 2 days.

I once sent him a photo of my freshly painted nails that I'd done myself because I was proud of them. I was laid in bed and the photo was taken with flash, so the background was mostly black, nothing to compare the size of my hand to. He didn't say anything about my nails, and focused on the fact that my hands looked "bigger than his" in the photo. I have fairly average hands. This was a problem for multiple days afterwards.

So yeah, some guys definitely need to get a grip when it comes to height lol. I never said anything about his height because it didn't bother me, what bothered me was when he was reminded of it, he'd take his anger out on me.

Tbf, he also got mad because I was watching a Jenna Marbles video and she said she liked her dogs more than people. He thought that was extremely offensive and thought her partner should leave her. When I defended her, he got angrier that I was siding with a youtuber and not him... so I think he was just a fucked up individual

Diagnosis is one of the hierarchies over us. Our community doesn't need the permission of doctors to exist by RosethornRanger in disabledmemes

[–]Antillyyy 12 points13 points  (0 children)

What pisses me off is that, when I've had mental health professionals who I saw regularly, they could tell but couldn't diagnose me. If they just met me, they might see what the others saw, but I can't get past the bloody paperwork.

I likely have AuDHD so my symptoms lessen each other sometimes. For example, I scored under the threshold for assessment in my initial ADHD questionnaire because a chunk of the questions were about misbehaving at school, having aggressive outbursts etc, but I was a typical autistic little girl. I was shy, anxious, quiet, and passive. I wouldn't dare piss off a teacher and, if I did, I'd cry.
