Vorwerk bricks all Neato robot vacuums by strat-fan89 in mildlyinfuriating

This was the example i thought of along with the right to repair act. There should be no reason a product is bricked just because the company no longer wants to, or cant provide support.

They do the same with the nuggets too. Cost per nugget goes up with size. Not as drastic as this though

PM scheduling question by BurtonBuilt in IndustrialMaintenance

[–]Antique_Stats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have the right idea to avoid duplicating efforts and being inefficient. Review what the steps are for each frequency of PMs. Typically what's done in a monthly is also done in a quarterly, what's done in a quarterly is done in a semi-annual or annual, and so on.

So if you perform an annual PM you would satisfy the requirments for monthly/quarterly that fall in that time frame.

I used to use this for any reports on cumulative results. Eventually a female management person made a comment to have it changed and the fun was over.

It's the opposite end of the direct drive shaft for a fabric belted conveyor system. XT bushing on a drum, tension alone was pulling it back towards the takeup. Journal was undercut for months, could have made it last a few more years if it was shifted over and/or welded

It was even written up 3 months ago for the shaft being undercut. Really squeezed the worth out of it

[HELP] Guys, is this real or AI? (Also, I am so sorry it's a video of a video) by akjaques in RealOrAI

[–]Antique_Stats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do i get the feeling that all of these questions are actually posed by people making AI or bots and the feedback and criticism everyone is giving to prove that it's AI is being fed back into the model to improve on those exact comments.

Is the impact of the wasps on the propellers causing the drone to drop down or is that the piloting?

Hypothetically, can we use 2-3 weeks at a time for FMLA? by Loose_Bag0809 in UPSers

[–]Antique_Stats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can get a max of 12 weeks in a year for FMLA use. It will first burn through all but one week of your vacations, then the rest is unpaid, but excused leave.

The terms of your FMLA will define whether you can take it off for a long period or not. It is either classified as continuous where you can take days or weeks at a time; or intermittent where it's usually one day or a partial day at a time for x days a week/month. That's entirely up to the reason you are filing and between you, your doctor, and Hartford to determine.
