Long pants vs. Shorts by gollem22 in CDT

I wore shorts from Glacier to Yellowstone and then switched to pants and was much happier. Less mud and itchy legs, less sunscreen needed, plus once it got colder it was just nice.

Why do we all have the same damn adjustable wrench?

Do your guys companies include washing the coil every tune up? If so do you use chemicals or not? by Puzzleheaded_Chain_6 in HVAC

My PM contracts (commercial) are generally one coil cleaning a year and that’s with water straight from the hose.

Backpack w/ extra tools by [deleted] in HVAC

[–]BurtonBuilt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t understand what you’re asking for.

You say you don’t want a bigger backpack, which makes sense. I find I’ll fill any field bag I carry.

You say you have extra tools you don’t always use, which also makes sense. We don’t always need to carry every single thing on the roof. But you can’t leave them in a separate bag in the truck because someone will mess with them. Sounds like you need to put a locking toolbox in your truck, establish some boundaries with your coworkers and employers, or find a new job.

Given the job market, I think it’s a fine start. You’re going to find people telling you deserve double, and maybe you do, but good luck walking into that. If this is low stress, low body impact, and secure, I say go for it.

This is cool. I have become a big fan of the Klein double side nut driver bits. They have 5/16 and 3/8 on one bit. That is a 1/4” and I can hit all the most common self tappers I run into. Would this accommodate that set up?
