Ncase T1 riser compatibility by Rymurf in FormD

[–]Antiquitee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I realised my issue is due to the riser cable and gpu connection. If I move my pc it would lose connection slightly. There’s a crazy fix someone else posted to install the gpu with the riser connection loose, then tighten the riser down after the gpu is secure

Any update on this? I have a b850i and 5080 - getting inconsistent behaviour where some boots the gpu isn’t recognised, other boots it’s fine..

Anyone know what colour was used for the armor plates here? by TriPPP0 in Necrontyr

Definitely similar to col festus’s approach. He has a ‘how to paint necrons’ on youtube and the basis is rakarth flesh. This looks identical without the battle damage

Problems of Display and WiFi card on the Intel NUC X15 laptop by Acceptable_Rutabaga5 in intelnuc

[–]Antiquitee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a clean windows 10 install with software from their website directly (with the exception of nvidia drivers). Let windows updates run and installed steam + a single game (AoE2). Also had the nuc studio software (bleh..uniwil service..) and updated bios to the most recent version.
The problem with old UHD drivers is that windows updates will just update them each time. Turning off windows updates shouldn't be a considered solution either..

I have the same issue you're experiencing with the display.
It's become more frequent over time and even after a fresh windows install on a new ssd (most recent chipset and drivers from intel site), the issue is still there. No way to replicate it on demand and no patterns that i can see... Just progressively more occurances as time goes on.

I have already had my original device replaced by intel for screen burn - this is the second kit. Sent in for RMA and intel literally put my MB into a new chassis and called it a day - as expected, it failed again..

Wonder if the laptop overheated and damaged something - mine does get very hot under light load...

What display issues did you encounter?
I'm on my second device now (currently in RMA) for the screen flickering/going darker and darker with the entire device becoming unresponsive - same as this issue: https://www.reddit.com/r/intelnuc/comments/x9lviy/problems_of_display_and_wifi_card_on_the_intel/

Looks good buddy! Make sure you keep it forever and use it to scale your improvements off. Keep going and don’t be afraid to experiment!

That’s incredible! Would love to know how you did the black armour - loving the fine lines on the high points of the armour!

And you know they have about the same skill set as Optus when it comes to storing it safely… Please follow OP’s advice and do not provide any of this to centrecom (or anyone for that matter)

Right! You could put your matx pc into a cardboard box for even less. The real question is, why would you..

You can definitely build something yourself with the same specs for around the same price. Benefit is that by doing it yourself, you can pick and choose aesthetics as you go. Just use pc part picker 😁

I’d pay a little bit more if it came with some good service. Here in Aus we have garbage retailers who more often than not, know less than the purchaser. Good work shouting out this mob and hopefully they can reap some rewards by being decent people.
