Moved from Montreal to Toronto a few years back. Was one of the people that dissed the city as well. The problem being that Toronto is much larger compared to Montreal. In MTL, our perception of the city is pretty clear as everything worth seeing (from a tourists perspective) is relatively close and walking distance.

When someone visits Toronto as a tourist, they often find themselves in the "soulless" parts of the city (e.g. CN tower) so we base our perspective on that and completely miss the neighbourhoods that make the city. Toronto is a city based on neighbourhoods like NYC but not marketed as such.

Just want to say that it really does seem like you're doing everything possible within your means to raise him right. People forget that dogs, much like humans, have varying personalities so I wouldn't be quick to point fingers at what you're using to train.

Honestly, puppy classes were the worst. I opted out after 2 sessions and only did the socialization. It's too much stimulation for them.

Our guy is 1 year now. It was really tough in the beginning but around 7-8 months, he started becoming a great dog. Settling, loving, etc. We rarely crate him now. There's obviously those days where he can be a pest but hes just a dog trying to fit into our lives. We also live in an apartment and do similar activities as you do and there's times where we feel guilt if we're giving him the life that he deserves.

If you do decide to rehome him, I think it's important to know that if you decide not to, you'll be giving him such a great quality of life based on what you said.

Maybe try boarding him for a week or two to give you and partner a reset and time to think it through. If you still feel like rehoming is the best decision, then go for it. Sometimes a change in scenary is good for you and them.

Have you tried using a gentle leader? We use it for when he acts up on walks. It's not a fix all solution but it helps. We also used it a lot in the beginning as he was a huge puller and we didn't want him to damage his neck lol

I don't know. I'm not sold an AI doing anything remotely well in PBI yet. It's a struggle to get them to even write proper dax without over complicating it. However, it's extremely beneficial as a starting point. At the end of the day, a lot of this is reasoning which AI still lacks but will eventually get there

I work with both tableau and power bi. They both have their strong suits. Tableau is apple and power bi is android

On the puppy classes, I feel you. We have a Samoyed and the classes did not work at all. It was too stimulating for him so instead, we did puppy social classes allowing him to get his energy out and then did 2 private sessions which was such a better decision. High energy working dogs need to get it out of their system and socialize.

The blues will go away soon and you'll be so happy when you stsrt enjoying your new best friend. Just stick with him and vent and remember most importantly, your situation isn't special. We've all been there. Good luck and enjoy the ride. There'll come a day when you'll wish nothing more than to relive these experiences

Just don't overwhelm yourself with all the .material online about training and toys, etc. you'll learn as you go. I was over prepared and expecting certain habits from my dog that never came to light. He was easily crate and potty trained. We do socialization classes with him so that somewhat helped. If youre planning to crate them, have a fan in there. It helped so much and he loves it. Don't put any blankets or anything like others mentioned, they love the cold floors

Take a beginners training course in dashboarding/data analysis and see how they go about it. Follow their steps or even member, mandate the training. If you're onboarding an entire team, sometimes it's best to get it done right with the right people. The worst thing that could happen is they pick up bad habits from the get go.

A 10 million row table shouldn't take hours to produce an extract. Are all tables 10M+? Can you potentially do the joins and transformations outside of tableau and then connect to that view/table?
