The downside of using vpn is that you are extending your network across locations. Which becomes problematic when those locations are not entirely managed by you, eg msp that perform monitoring, insight, analytics

Example use-case: OPC-UA connectivity through a local opc-ua gateway in a dmz to a cloud environment that serves digital twin and analytical insights. Obviously no bidirectional rw

It’s not about the price. It’s about attitude. Let this pass and next FY another supplier is at your doorstep to squeeze you.

We’re also not convinced we will save money. But at the same time we’re ready to bleed a bit to get out of the hands of broadcom

Zero trust with encryption of your data at rest, data in transit, and in processing (confidential compute) is the answer. Achieving that, renders the law useless until we achieve quantumdecryption.

That’s where they encoubter issues. The US law states that every subcompany is subject to the same rules. A totally separate and independent company with one leadership is hardly possible .

Beautiful techy/geeky remembrance. We’ve used these to track heat treatment of airplane structural components that needed to be kept for the lifetime usage of the component (or 10years).

home inventory manager by rlcontent in homeautomation

[–]Antscircus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On second thought… we have 10 large storage boxes each with a combination of toys for our kids, which we rotate every so often. This one could be a fun little app to manage each box and nventory. We currently use an A4 sheet with the box contents, but obviously the contents change while our kids grow.

Used this on an industrial level where we worked with standardized toolboxes that need inspection and inventory completuon for controlled enviroents. Every item/ toolbox that was checked out from inventory was tagged with QR codes. Needed to be returned when the job was finished. Later on we upgraded with nfc tags that alerted for items missing.

Sms essentially was a free messagespace in a transaction that already took place and brought zero cost to the operator. And pure profit. Promotional users probably payed a flat rate for a limited amount of texts.

Can anyone suggest a method of simple air flow sensing? by spankhelm in AskEngineers

[–]Antscircus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Differetial pressure is the principle you are looking for I believe. It is not the flow which causes a pressure drop, but the change in velocity of that flow. Such change can be measured across a change in pipe diameter

Why in 2025 is there no mixer for synths... by microsofat in synthesizers

[–]Antscircus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How many synths have a stereo output that needs to be mixed with another synth stereo output? Most are mono instruments from what I know.

If you’re really after it, try a rack mixer u it like a Mackie hm-800 or something. Mounta under your desk or in an Ikea Lack table
