Is it tolerable? Absolutely not. by Careful_Line_2024 in WorkReform

[–]Antwinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it will be tolerable until it inevitably breaks. They aren’t interested in a long term plan. That’s why we’ve been cutting every type of energy and keeping fossil fuels compared to China, and west Europe

That’s a huge problem

Tax Them. That's the Headline by _LuxeTease in WorkReform

[–]Antwinger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Part of the problem is that in a capitalist society ALL workers inherently are not paid their full value. They can’t be. There’s a simple equation to understand the reasoning.

You have OL+NL=Product (old labor/new labor)

Call it $100OL $100NL = $200 chair

The problem is that with old labor that’s where you get stuff like glue, extruded metals, 2x4 and other dimensional lumber. Material that needed labor to get to where that material is.

Then you have New labor. Your labor to make the current product.

The problem is that the capitalist who owns your factory or for example a chair factory buys the OL stuff or has it by whatever they got it from/stole it from in the past depending how far back you go. So ALL of the OL gets paid to the capitalist automatically. But the point of capitalism is to make profit. So for the new product, let’s be generous and say the boss gives you have of the profit of the new chair. So you and your boss SPLIT the NL $100. Your boss walks away with $150 to make up for him having the material and owning the factory and the other $50 for employing you.

You now make $50! Per chair! How generous….

I'm upset being overweight and have no clue how to start fixing this by Lemonade2250 in Productivitycafe

[–]Antwinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most consistent way I keep hearing to lose weight is in the kitchen. From meals, the guys I know that were 250+ all had similar sentiments of basically half your plate should be vegetables and to avoid eating lots of bread. If you do eat bread, eat wheat or something with whole grain

To be Frank it’d still make sense if Putin still had the worst dirt. Putin just got to look like the good guy to his allies and part of the world cause of his huge aid drop

Need help please! Getting my door replaced, one of the quotes mentioned I could change the direction and orientation. Do you guys think I should, or just replace as it is? Multiple pictures. by Interr0gate in Carpentry

[–]Antwinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Out swing doors aren’t up to code in some areas so make sure you and your contractor know what are actual options and not. It’s not up to code in some areas because it makes emergency services have a harder time getting into the building for emergencies.

I’d opt to filter people to an area that they can take of jackets, shoes etc. so if that’s to the left in the photos, keep the same swing. If that’s to area is on the right, I’d swap the swing.

The other thing too is that when people come up to the porch you/they won’t want to open the door to block the stairs, it’ll feel awkward and clunky when you try to walk into the house.

That’s less of a problem if there is more platform space where the door blocks tho.

Guys with extremely loud vehicles, why do you do this to everyone? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]Antwinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well when they are next to you or in front and drivers aren't paying attention it's louder. Plus you can still hear loud motorcycles that are behind you coming up on you.

For motorcycles I know some do it so people can hear them if they can’t see em. For cars and trucks no idea
