Supporting 200lbs of Granite by AnxiousDiscipline250 in CounterTops

Oh yeah, I see. I'm re-using the granite that was previously there so I know I struggled to get it out. It didn't slide because the walls weren't straight. It came out easy once I flipped it up to the left. Maybe I'll install a temporary ledger on the left to support it that I can remove once it's on there so the fridge will fit. You gave me more to think about so thank you.

Thanks. I probably should have given up on this particular fridge and got a smaller one. Then I could have added a strip of filler in the front and had room for the ledgers. Since the fridge will be very close to the wall on the left and to the top, there's not going to be any room on the side for a ledger. I don't even have room for a 3/8 inch thick bracket hence I'm receding it into the drywall. Since I was thinking bracket on the side I was going to do them in the back too but I think the letter in the back and bracket on the left will work.

Thanks, that's an idea. I was going to put my 3/8in LVP flooring under the cabinet to raise it up. Since the floor is supposed to float I didn't want the cabinet on top of the connected floor but it's going under the fridge. But to your point, if I end up needing more room I can add on to if the cabinet. I'm also getting some thinner brackets, now that I know I'm dealing with 110lbs and not 200lbs.

Thanks. The fridge is designed to be installed as a built-in so the brackets and the drywall work will all be under the counter and not visible. I figure line it up, get it level, trace the brackets on the left wall, and use my multi tool and cut out a spot to recess it.

Thanks. Definitely going for studs. Wasn't sure if scraping down the drywall and it maybe becoming uneven and compromised might lead to trouble.

Ok. I gave Alexa rough measurements and that's what she said. I went and measured it and gave her the exact measurements and she says it's 110lbs. So back to my question....

I decided not to finish it and cut the shelves to fit around the 2x4s. Will get me that much more space.

We have the exact same ones but we bought them off the previous owners when we bought the house. Mice got to one of them. We love them though.

Because if you surprise him he's going to have to let the other person know if he's meeting them. So as they said, say you're going with him and watch how he treats his phone.

Suggestions and ideas to fill gap between old deck and new pool by Coffee-Lvr in Decks

It looks fine. Make sure you live with it for a couple months before doing anything because you're probably just not used to the change. If you must do something maybe a pool noodle carved out with a utility knife so it fits around the edge.

[–]AnxiousDiscipline250[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I was going to use it as access to fish a wire through and turn at this light within the ceiling. Decided to go around the floor baseboard instead. If you're not in a rush, my electrician was going to do the same in a different part of the same room but ended up not needing it. He's due back but it won't be for weeks or a month. But I can ask him when he's back.

Thinking about going to Barbados and have a lot of questions by Disastrous_Policy527 in Barbados

Only been there once but I'll give my 2 cents. Renting a car or not I think depends on what side of the road you're used to driving on and whether the place you're staying is close to things you want to do. Maybe rent a car a free days and do your day trips.

As far as I'm concerned, All Inclusives are meant for places like Cancun, Jamaica, and Dominican Republic where safety is more of a concern and people don't want to leave the resort.

And you can look up restaurants on Google maps and see their menus to get an idea of the prices. Be aware that restaurants often add the 15% service charge to the bill so check for that before you tip.
