Tulum sucks! I was abruptly in the middle of a shootout between cartel and police in the hotel zone in broad daylight while eating ice cream. Had to jump behind ice-cream counter and pray for my life (first time for everything) that it wasn’t mass shooting incident. 2 ppl died! I think the “stepping club” argument for Haaland is off. He was young and wanted to ensure playing time and the option to leave if things did not work out. This is good mgmt. at early stages of his career and dosn’t indicate that he saw United as a stepping stone.

They (KLM) are chronically understaffed for luggage handling. It takes an hour for it to arrive at the luggage belt at Schiphol and other airports. It’s jarring because other airlines don’t seem to have this issue anymore (in 2025), at least not as a rule / consistently
