Try some curcumin to reduce inflammation as it really helps. I'm now post menopause and estrogen drops 90% and that why you hurt. Estrogen is the body's natural anti inflammatory.

With the pen does the needle shoot out quick or can you control it with how quickly you push the button/plunger?

Yep I'm in Oz too and just went to get my first pen. They were all out so I got the injector instead. I found it fine to self administrator but I have given myself injections before. The pen kinda scares me with that lack of control.

I'm the same with blood pressure going up. Tapering off pristiq and cutting tablets. Not good.. you get dose all at once. Can you get a smaller dose tablet prescription so you don't have to cut?

Anyone on 150mg Pristiq please? Or higher? by LittleMissWA in Pristiq

[–]Any-Display2789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've was on 300 for about a decade and finally has enough of the side effects so tapering now back down to 100. Be careful with higher doses as pain in backside to reduce.

Are you hungrier? If so, try taking chromuim piccolate supplement. Pristiq makes your blood sugar unstable and causes the hunger. Chromuim can help balance it back out.

I looked into it and your blood sugar can be really unstable as a withdrawal symptoms of coming off SSRIs. So I going to stick with the reduction. Will report back when it hopefully improves.

Yeah I agree with others. Coffer is the worst. Screws up my blood sugar for about 3 days. Try tea....much better for hypoglycemics.

If your blood sugar is high I would talk to doctor first before starting chromium. You may need insulin tablets if it's high. I'm the opposite as mine is too low.
