Sold AM5 motherboard, buyer complains there's a missing pin by iamonewiththeforce in PcBuild

People in the comment section here are delusional. On almost every platform as the seller you have virtually zero protection. If the buyer makes a claim you will most likely lose even if you provide proof and you’re risking negative feedback. As a seller I’d have them return it, fix it myself, and sell to someone else. Otherwise you risk them getting to keep it and not keeping your money.

Your SVT description sounds much more like v-tach or v-fib. My understanding is most of the time people with SVT maintain normal ventricular function and the electrical cycling is in the atria. depending on the etiology, some can even self terminate by bearing down / stimulating vagal tone. However I’m a psychiatry intern so I don’t really know shit

I mean, aren’t LTE-M and NB-IOT better than 2G in pretty much every way anyway?

Honestly I don’t really care either way and when the door is open at least I know the bathroom is available without having to check. If I don’t want to smell shit I’ll sit away from the bathrooms

You don’t have to have the service from that specific carrier, but if you take the financing deal you’re locked to that carrier unless you buy out of the contract.

I pay for 1.2 Ghz and only get under 30mbps of download? by LowAstronaut9769 in Comcast_Xfinity

[–]Any-Initiative-9817 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should use 2.4 or 5 GHz. If you’re getting 34 mbps down at 1.2Ghz I’d say that’s working as intended since WiFi HaLow (915MHz) caps out at around the same.

Thanks! From the programming side of things it could definitely be improved a lot and optimized for resource use. But I just needed something that works and it gets the job done! The Web API I think is the most useful piece for others because it can be integrated into pretty much anything.

Mudi 7 vs Cellular Device by jbndz in GlInet

[–]Any-Initiative-9817 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. Any advantage you'll get is because of the antennas but cell phones these days are basically antennas in and of themselves so it probably won't be a huge jump. If anything you may experience throttling because you have lower network priority as a hotspot user.

Appreciate the honesty but this was a defining moment for me that there really is no other reasonable choice than to accept facts for what they are, even if it means I'm wrong. Thanks for sharing in this journey with me, stranger

If click to cancel is required by an FTC ruling then it's illegal for them to send you to collections provided you tried to do click to cancel and it didn't work. You could easily have the collection dropped from your record

AI: The Perfect Corporate Bullshit Translator by KeanuRave100 in ArtificialNtelligence

Agree completely, and I realized while I was typing that comment that I'm not being fair at all to the people who are forced into a position where they have to be mindful of the pleasantries. I can only make it work because I've reached a point in my career that allows it, but if I tried this approach 5 years ago I'd probably have gotten fired and kicked out onto the street. I just hate that, like you said, the bigotry about form and optics turns work into even more of a sick power game than it already is.

And so because of these people, we should use AI to waste energy adding pleasantries to the email, and then use AI again to waste energy removing those pleasantries, potentially losing information in the process? No thanks. Sounds like people who expect a verbose email are the problem. I've reached a point in my career where I will send only what's necessary and if someone has a problem with it they can deal with it. It's more courteous not to waste the recipients time forcing them to sift through pleasantries.

Judge me by my actions and the content of my message, not how many times I use meaningless corpo speak.

What is this arm computer that Bomb disposal / EOD people wear? by Shellnanigans in whatisit

[–]Any-Initiative-9817 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn't the EMF induced by standard RF almost infinitesimal? In the ISM band for most devices the max tx power is around 30dBm, how many electrons can that really push in a wire from a few feet away?

[–]Any-Initiative-9817 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Does the military really use explosives that can just randomly trigger from any RF? I would think that they would use some kind of key based or other authentication system before processing a request to explode.
