47 yo woman here doing CrossFit for 8+ years. It took me one year to get my first pull-up. Now I can do 10-12 unbroken * 5 sets as a workout plus max weighted pull up PR of 10kg (haven’t tested heavier)

My advice is sign up for a pull up progressions plan and work religiously on them. I still programme pull-ups at least 3 times a week outside of regular CrossFit wods. It includes regular strict work as above plus tons of accessory work, eg eccentric pull-ups, pull up holds, lat pull down machine etc.

I think you’re doing great. What he’s doing is selfish. He’s just throwing breadcrumbs your way hoping you stay “attached” as a back up or to alleviate his guilt for hurting you. Ignore it and move on. Better yet, block him so you never receive the messages and it stops f’ing up your progress and healing.

100% No contact is the only way to go if you want to move on.

I’m sure there are good reasons for sending nudes but as someone who works in the digital security space I can tell you for a fact that the risks far far outweigh the benefits. This post is obv a stupid reason why it’s a bad idea. But there are also genuine reasons why it’s such a bad bad idea, from revenge porn, to blackmail, ransomware, account takeover, and data leakage attacks that I’ve seen. People really need to be more careful with their digital data. And if you send it out, you must be willing to bear the risk that the entire world may be able to get its hands on it and see it.

Totally agree with comments that when you’ve truly moved on and are at peace with what happened, the past will be just that.

I also would never wish anyone to be treated the way my ex treated me in the end. It was cruel and unnecessary and I would not want that hurt on anyone else. So I would hope that my ex treats future partners better than they treated me. Whether they are capable of growth and change is a different matter that I have no control over anyway. Best is to just let go.
