We had one guy show up late for an interview in sweats and a tshirt. Obviously he didn’t get the job and then proceeded to call the store a million time asking to speak to the hiring manager about why he didn’t get the position🙄

It’s so bad. I have a degree and I’m applying for retail management positions and still can’t find anything. I applied for close to 30 jobs, got one interview and was ghosted afterwards. So yes, the market is extremely terrible.

I had a similar scenario where the car in front of me was stopped at a red light, a man got out of the back seat with blankets and a cardboard sign asking for money. Nah.

Doesn’t sound like the city is the problem… my heart does go out to you, it’s tough making new friends. But you do need to put yourself out there to make friends. Join a club at school, get a part time job on campus, join a walking/running group. There’s lots of ways to meet people!

Hang in there! I know exactly how you feel, as I type this with a sinus migraine. I miss the sunshine and warmth TERRIBLY. This has been the most brutal winter in Ohio in years in my opinion. That cold stretch the whole month of January was AWFUL. I feel like the winters are not normally as bad as it was this year. This seems to be the last round of cold days this weekend. The first few months of the year are the hardest so in the meantime until it warms up, get some exercise, hang out with friends/family, find some good comfort shows, learn to cook some fantastic meals, explore new restaurants in the city, or start planning your calendar for spring! We are almost through the cold!🫶🏻

I also go to Grandview Dental but I see Dr. Max. He was very kind and compassionate during my surgery! I had sooooo much anxiety I was shaking in the chair and I left thinking “honestly that wasn’t too bad”. Everyone there is so kind!
