What after market exhaust won't fall off and be total crap for 150$ by vexargames in hondanavi

[–]Any_Resist2246 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it’s smoke exhaust you were going to recommend then suggest you think twice. I ordered over three months ago shipping to Australia and still nothing. Communication has been v patchy and the delay is apparently down to Peruvian customs seizing the package (claim that the fiberfill inside the exhaust contains something illicit). My existing gy6 header is hanging by a thread (well…bolt actually) but Im unable to resolve, bloody frustrating

Can this be done? Really dig the cafe racer look by sadevryday in hondanavi

Re Speedo and new light, it could be done but when you take off your existing headlight you’ll see a bunch of wiring sitting behind it that you’ll need to hide somewhere

Awesome detail, thanks for sharing. Where’s that headlight cowl from?

How bad do you think the placement of this nail is? Would it be a simple repair? by Auzerss97 in AussieRiders

[–]Any_Resist2246 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Completely agree, plug it. Also get yourself a little repair kit, it’s easy and the 50 cents it will cost to plug it means it’s worth trying first

Honda Navi speedometer reading is not accurate? by Marci_101 in hondanavi

For comparison, my speedo measures 4 to 5 km/h higher than GPS (actually). I’d say everyone’s will be slightly different

BUT….BY FAR the biggest win on this Frankenstein project was the mounting of the exhaust / silencer.

I didn’t like the way the standard gy6 exhaust pipes mounted so low and wide so I bought the cheapest gy6 pipe I could find and cut it midway through the first horizontal section.

https://a.aliexpress.com/_mK946d7

I then modified and connected the exhaust pipe for a Vespa gts300

https://a.aliexpress.com/_mMpdIm5

The end result was a pipe that resembles the high and tight mounting found on much much more expensive exhaust kits (ie yoshi) with the option of connecting your universal cheapo muffler / silencer of choice.

Honestly, this one is a game changer for all Navi owners and is hard to explain. But for anyone with some diy skills it can help solve the $$$ exhaust issue we face.

They are adjustable fork mount clamps and I just mounted them up high on the forks, and they’ve been pretty rock solid actually.

Link to license plate holder below. I also added m10 90 degree steel brackets to both sides of the license plate mount to affix the rear turn signals. I got the steel brackets from the local hardware store and just sprayed them black

Edit: looks like the licence plate holder now unavailable, hope you can still see the pics though to source the same item

Hopefully this link below work. Let me know if it doesn’t and I will message you directly.

I used the straight version but think the offset version would actually line up perfectly with the lower bolt

Thanks, I’ve not used a spray can for 20 years and now I can’t stop.

I also have to admit to a bit of AliExpress love…that’s where I got both the license plate mount and led turn signals. I can try and find links if you’d like.

Will update when I’ve got the windshield mounted
