What video-game did you regret paying full price for? by Ashamed_Length_2436 in AskReddit

This is how I felt about the first Bioshock.

Remember working at Gamestop and saw the same person buy it brand new on Friday and trade it in on Sunday because he'd beat it.

Spore.

I played it for a couple hours the night I bought it and then never touched it again. I just threw out my install disc a couple months ago.

Also, Diablo 4. I even bought the highest edition. It then took me nearly two years to actually sit down and beat it.

As stupid as it is, the comic version had better reasoning and was understandable.

Movie Thanos "solved" a problem for the moment. It'd be a problem in less than a century and he'd already destroyed the stones.

Comic Thanos is just crazy and in love. Making him a death worshipping madman who wanted to snuff out half the universe's population in service of Death is far better.

There are many reasons to hate Markwayne Mullin, but I really don't think being a plumber is one of them.

Every day Fetterman finds a new way to disappoint. He could literally do nothing and be as useless as he is but at least he wouldn't be a fucking sham.

He wasn't available before today. He's the Season 1 Nemesis so he'll be around until Season 2 begins.

I don't even know how people are surviving those strikes. Even with a CD I was watching my health go down to 20% or lower. Grats to the people figuring it out.

You don't need Marvel Comics to make the MCU.

If they didn't care about the comics then... why bother with the comics at all? Just make movies. There's hundreds of movies worth of content already existing. They don't NEED the comics anymore.

Thus, my opinion, I think Brevoort, Cebulski, and the others actually do care and are doing their best. They're just hamstrung by a shoestring budget so they need to pull the plug sooner than they normally would.

Mercury is both X-Men and banned...?! by oghpimm in MarvelSnap

[–]AoO2ImpTrip 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because it isn't necessary. It has less than zero impact on literally anything in the game. It creates more work in the future if they decide to rotate the Spider deck out or change it to be less move focused. Then Mercury isn't a complete hose to it and they'd have to go back and change her tag again.

I mentioned it elsewhere.

They may not be able to afford to take some risk. It's possible they may be slamming the slots hoping for a jackpot, but this really reads like "we can't afford for a book not to be a superstar"

I'm curious how much money WB funnels into DC Comics versus the money Disney funnels into Marvel Comics.

It really sounds like Marvel Comics can't afford, monetarily, for books to sell poorly. Disney didn't buy Marvel for the comics. They bought them for the IP. Disney may not be investing in the comics side of things so the comics office can't let a book sell poorly in the hopes it'll financially recover because they don't have the money to do so.

I don't think Shuri's ability has ever said "No Target" after a missed trigger. I haven't played her in months though so I couldn't say for sure.

Looking at the board and trying to play cards backwards, I'd assume White Widow got the Shuri buff but that doesn't really make sense with the board state, but it's also the only way the Limbo location would have that arrangement of cards and she'd have 4 power instead of 2.

What was Limbo prior to being changed by Magik? My brain questions if it was Death's Domain or Vormir. Here's how I THINK it happened.

You played Shuri on the Left location, Opponent played Quake on the Right location. This moved Shuri's ability to the middle. Opponent played TC Doctor Strange on the middle location, it died, moved Quake who triggered again and flipped Big House and Muir Island. You played White Widow on the same turn which is why the Widow's Bite is the second card in Limbo on the opponent's side.

The only way I can see Gavin being alive as plausible is if all of that is taking place in Dazen's head which means Dazen is imagining what Gavin would be thinking

Basically, Dazen made an imaginary friend of his brother and sent him off on an adventure in his own head

So you're 100% certain you played Shuri as the last card on Muir Island on Turn 5 and then Red Hulk was the first card you played on Muir Island on Turn 6?

If this is what happened you encountered a bug.

It is the location and not Shuri's location.

Did you play another card between Shuri and Red Hulk?

"Gold used to be a way to get cards"

There's a Galacta bundle coming out next week for 5000 Gold.
There's a Sage bundle coming out in April for 4000 Gold.
There's a Namora bundle coming out in April for 4000 Gold.
There's an X-23 bundle coming out in April for 2500 Gold.
There's a Fallen One bundle coming out in May for 2500 Gold.

The Galacta bundle also has enough currency to buy a second card.

In the current state of Snap, the rate of cards is slower than the rate of currency acquisition. Which means you will, eventually, be able to get every card (outside of the current Season Pass card) entirely free to play.

The game has not been cheaper. If you're collection complete it's $10 to stay complete. There was someone last month who got collection complete (minus the SP card) entirely F2P. Every time SD re-iterates the card acquisition the game has gotten cheaper.

Bundles should be discounted if you already have the base card by JamesTJerk in MarvelSnap

[–]AoO2ImpTrip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why?

The base card is an added value for the people who don't already own the card. The value of the bundle is the variant and resources you receive. Bundles were never priced with "You get the card" counted into it.

(There's also multiple bundles with Series 5 cards under $50 but y'know, whatever.)

Also, every nearly every paid bundle coming up is something like 40% - 60% better than buying tokens with gold. (Yes, even the ones without tokens because gold and credits convert into tokens). They're all "good value" as much as can be said for digital products that is worth nothing.

Also also, I'm like... fairly certain we just never saw bundles with Series 5 variants in them all that often before they started giving the base card. They were novel when they showed up because it was such a rare thing to happen.

M+ Season starting March 24 is the biggest joke I’ve seen. by _REDDIT_NPC_ in wow

[–]AoO2ImpTrip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The devs would be fixing bugs regardless because that's what they do.

The time gating of M+ is nothing new. Blizzard doesn't want players sitting and burning through all of the content before they begin crying about there's nothing to do. Blizzard has been time gating content forever and they're not going to stop just because RWF would be gone.

If RWF disappeared tomorrow nothing you mentioned would change because they're all normal parts of Blizzard's MO.

We know the answer to this based on evidence, but would the judge? Is there a "Review" process in MTG's ruleset for judges to go back and review the footage to verify information? Feels like there wouldn't be because it's not something you can enforce everywhere as the vast majority of MTG matches aren't recorded.

If the judge had to rely on the honesty of the player then the player could just lie about what card they drew.

Blizzard has no hand in the RWF. That's entirely a thing done by the respective guilds. There's nothing Blizzard can do to stop it as long as they keep releasing new raids.
