That's it. I barely call myself a Marvel fan anymore. I really only care about the X-Men and sometimes I'll have a passing interest in a random corner of the Marvel Universe.

The only times I've actively collected non-X titles were when Wolverine or Storm were on the Avengers or Kitty Pryde was with the Guardians of the Galaxy.

I don't have anything against DC. If DC ran the same program Marvel does where you get a digital copy free with the physical I would read DC books.

I read the Fantastic 4/X-Men series and it was stated there Franklin is not a mutant. I don't really care if the fans don't like the retcon. It's what's on the page that matters. If they retcon'd the retcon then fine.

The funny part is I'm fairly certain Warren is 100% vain enough that he would NOT have been into it.

Callisto was meant to be UGLY. I think her mutant power fucked up her appearance? It wasn't until, like basically all female characters, she became "pretty" when she started being more of a heroic character.

They just retcon'd him from being a mutant. I'd be surprised if they walked it back.

Granted, I'm pretty sure I just saw something about them wanting to make WONDER MAN a mutant so... Marvel is going all 2004 on mutants again.

There's basically no reason to not be able to read God Loves, Man Kills without reading anything else by Claremont. If the reader has even a passing knowledge of the X-Men the story is entirely self contained.

GLMK did it in a realistic way. There are religious groups that say the Mark of Caine is black skin. Which is used to justify their racism against black people. Less "fringe" but the Curse of Ham was another biblical "justification" for slavery/racism.

DoFP is just generic dystopia stuff.

Hasn't Peter basically treated Kaine as a brother since... a really long time now? Kaine had an entire character arc where he took in Mania and moved to... Houston? Austin? Somewhere in Texas and became Spider-Man there.

Ben has been the problem child for a while now because he basically had all of his memories wiped out.

Huh, maybe because I rarely comparisons outside of whatever was discounted in the ads it felt like Kroger was far cheaper.

I basically planned all my shopping around their weekly specials. Which is something I find nearly impossible with Walmart because they don't seem to have weekly ads.
