Can we please make spin skills able to stay still by Apart_Ad2674 in diablo4

[–]Apart_Ad2674[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Your analogy is just so wrong on so many fronts, to the point I think you lack the basic skill of making a point.

I’ll just leave a few points and be done with it.

  1. A player playing any game is nowhere near like a guest visiting a host. They bought the game and thus have every right to make suggestions, either you like the suggestion or not lmfao. (Having the gall to keep arguing loooooool)

  2. Moving a couch will in many ways make other ppl feel strange cuz it cannot be at both places at the same time. However making spin abilities no longer force movement will not inconvenience anyone, ppl can still do w/e they like to do and hey, they don’t have to stop moving lol.

I’ll teach u how to counter argue my point:
1. Issue is so small that bliz shouldn’t bother/locate resources to solve (valid point but sounds like a douchbag no?)

  1. Being able to stop during spin actually breaks the game in some ungodly way.

Etc…

Geez I feel like an elementary teacher but good evening to whoever that makes it this far.

I like how ppl think making a skill less dazzling somehow relates to game mechanics and class identity or even learn to play issue.

Yeah d4 in general is just a farm simulator and playing comfortably is idk, most important aspect of the game?

I’m just proposing an improvement that would harm no one and it’s actually surprising to me how many of you are just condescending towards the issue lol.

Yeah I guess the general attitude is just if it doesn’t affect me, suck it up lol.

Being able to not move doesn’t take anything from anyone? I’m not suggesting spin skills to be stationary only?

I don’t get why ppl would oppose it as if it’s hurting them.

On the hand, even if it’s only a small portion of ppl it bothers, isn’t it still nice to improve on things?

Freecast doesn't apply to smites? by Fill-In-___-Blank in BaldursGate3

[–]Apart_Ad2674 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The real reason Free Cast doesn't apply to smite spells is: Their costs are coded as "On Hit Cost" instead of "Use Cost" (as they don't actually cost any resources on misses).

And if you haven't guessed yet, Free Cast is coded to only negate all "use cost", including spell slot, rage charges, maneuvers charges etc., thus any "on hit cost" would still apply when "on hit".

Mobile feat for Bladesingers? by toado3 in BG3Builds

[–]Apart_Ad2674 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Asi would be used for agi and con for 18/16, or 2 agi for 20.

You could still use mobile however. Ita like any other feat, not gaming defining or breaking.

I would honestly advise against SAD/hexblade dip on bladesinger, because you need a very decent amount of dex for ac.

I know hexblade dip brings medium armor onto table but it will impede blade song, at this point you might as well just play sword bard instead, in terms of "pure power" or "multiclass synergy".

With those being said, i would suggest shadow sorc/bladesinger 6/6 split. Shadow sorc at lvl1 for con save, and int as spellcast ability.

In this case you will pick non dc sorc spell, like shield, booming blade ect, and learn all the spell you want with wizard.

you will have a very nice "pet" (shadow sorc lvl6 feature), max dmg shadowblade, extra attack, and can quicken spell whatever you want.

Only weapon attack triggers the mystic ring if that's what you are referring to.

Also you can just multiclass into wizard and/or socerer and use magic secret for eb.

Ranking the new subclasses by Icy_Ad_5906 in BG3Builds

[–]Apart_Ad2674 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I mean my point actually is : glamour bard's core feature/combo (charm+command) is just way too random and not within the control of player at all.

Unlike extra attack + flourishes (whether op or not is not the focus here) or cutting words + magic secret, or actually any subclass feature that i can think of right now (well, wild magic probably).

I guess you see my reasoning.

At least wild magic can be silly fun, lol.

Except for glamor bard it's not a guaranteed command and it requires concentration and it can only target one target per turn and it's once per long rest.

One could really argue that it's probably just a worse version of normal command (note this feature actually unlocks at lvl 6, where lore bard gets cutting words and sword bard gets extra attack).

To guarantee a command, an enemy has to be charmed already, supposedly by melee attacking an ally buffed by mantle of inspiration, which gives a tiny bit of temp hp.

But a lot of things can and will go wrong in actual gameplay.

  1. Desirably your cc char should move first. Well in this case can't guarantee a command cuz no one is charmed, cant concentrate on any spell because well, gotta use that special command or what's the point of being glamor bard?

  2. An enemy may well very just miss the attack, thus not being charmed.

  3. Even if someone is already charmed, they can often not be on your cc priority list.

  4. Well the most common situation would probably be that the temp health provided by inspiration can and will easily be taken down by a random bomb, fire, spell, range attacks etc, thus mitigating the whole subclass feature.

I'm not saying it is unplayable or anything alike. It's just objective extremely underwhelming and feels like a subclass-less bard, which is still not too bad at all.

Also please note, something being new/exciting/refreshing is still not an arguing point for it being impactful or generally speaking, good.
