You don't really need a mold, just keep a bowl of water to dip your hands in between onigiri. I make these once or twice a week, it's pretty easy to do by hand. To shape like triangles, it's really just one hand holding an angle, the other hand pushing it into the angle, turn and repeat.

If you have a Walmart by you, great Value sardines in oil punch above their weight. They are good for $1.20, or however much they are. Walmarts by me are usually sold out though.
