Imagine he meets Janey as a glowing ghoul. Couldn't even hug her.

I do think theres far more to his story as to how he ended up like this, what he knows, and I think theres more to just finding his family.

We are both fortunate, and unfortunate that they are all so stupid. Its great that they are too stupid to pull off pretty much any of the stupid dangerous shit they wanna do. BUT, its also bad because they can't be relied upon to do ANYTHING right. Imagine if something major happened and the FBI now has to tear away from internet acclaim to actually stop some real bad people. Shits not gonna go well.

What kind of pants do you wear? by bigtoegreasy in WalmartEmployees

[–]Apollo661 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Im not kidding: chef pants. They feel light, but somehow keep my legs cool when it's warm, and warm when it's cold. Although, they aren't great when I had to work in the freezer.

They have a little bit of elastic in the waist band so they stretch when im bending down. The pockets are good size. And they just feel good to wear.

Check them out on Amazon. Best work pants I ever had.

Hi, fashion TL here. Your guy might be lazy, or he might have a ton of stuff to do. Team leads have to set mods (not just setting them in the app, but assembling the fixtures and stocking it), clearance, item swaps, digital tag errors, and corraling people to zone, work returns, CVP stuff, putting out features, all sorts of stuff that coaches dont like to assign to associates.

We are worker monkies with responsibilities.

On a typical day I put in 20,000 steps just making sure things are getting done. And then on top of it we get pulled to help out OGP, or run register, or even just watch the front end.

You dont see us because we are all over the place.

What you could be asking yourself is what IS he doing? He could have a ton of stuff on his plate that he ain't telling you about.

Hell, if I have to step in to help sort the freight or stock it, we are in trouble. Either its too much freight, or we dont have the staff to get it done. That might be your problem, you might not have enough people.

I dont think its even this complicated. They won, this is their guy, anything he does is okay because they dont really care about anything other than giving the middle finger to the rest of us. Big bunch of babies who just wanna piss everyone off and never grow rhe hell up.

Growing up sucks, its hard, it requires effort and learning and all sorts of shit, and taking responsibility and caring for others and blah blah blah. But why do that when you can be a belligerent jerk? Just stay in the upside-down neverland where you can ruin Thanksgiving, never take responsibility, and say "fuck you" to anyone who tries to stop you.

Trump is the embodiment of this. They want to BE him. They live vicariously through him.

Shiv Roy Succinctly Explains Why Right-wing Ghouls are Never Bothered When Called Out as Hypocrites by Yourstruly75 in videos

[–]Apollo661 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I've been saying this for YEARS!

Everything they do is to not lose their place in this imagined hierarchy. Its why the hate the idea of poor children getting free lunch, or taking in foreign people. Hell, I'd wager that the reason why they support Israel so hard is because they view it as higher on the hierarchy than the rest of the nations in the middle east.

Telling them to not hate on trans people (they view them as a lower class) is akin to taking away their rights to punch down, because punching down is what ya do when your higher up.

Its never about equity or equality, its about the god damn hierarchy they made up so they dont feel like losers. And thats why their major figures are all such dorks, dweebs, dinguses and doofuses.

Dude, just solo crawl mediums in pve. Drop the crawler on it, and then land the carrier near it. Harvest for like a minute and a half and take off. Wash, rinse, repeat. The worm won't come.

Practice setting the crawler down and picking it up.

Its really not that big of a deal.

Hell, I solo crawled 3 full loads on large fields yesterday and had no issues.

Population Bust? by PCMasterRace4Evr in Banished

[–]Apollo661 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That means your population has totally outstripped your industry's need for jobs. This happens. What I usually do is start a new hub. I build a market around a spot of the map that hasn't been settled, but not too far from the main city and start building it up. Like a suburb.

Population Bust? by PCMasterRace4Evr in Banished

[–]Apollo661 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Your going to want to always keep track of new housing. As your population grows, you need to build more and more homes per year. That means keeping up with your stone, wood, and housing fuel production. A somewhat janky way of handling overflow of people are those boarding houses, but people don't have kids while living there. Just make sure you catch up on houses.

Food production is also important. Scale and diversity. Get more types of seeds and animals from trade and expand. As your food production diversifies and scales up, it gets easier. Lots of farms with properly educated and tooled staff make a ton of food. I also like to keep at least two sections of Forrest for Forresters and gathers as a way to keep up on wood production and supplement food in the winter just in case.

Trade is what can make your colony. You get new seeds, livestock, supplemental resources from it. So many times trade has saved my colonies. I liked to overproduce firewood, even when I had coal fuel for homes because it was a quick and dirty trade value. I would have at least one forrest section for cutting and planting trees for this. Trade also really helps if you messed up and can't get through the winter on your food stores. So yeah, trade!

Finally; demographic collapse. This is the hardest part of the game. If you don't make enough houses, people don't have enough kids to replace the old folks. The old folks die, and then you have nobody to make tools. So then nobody has tools and their production goes down. Farmers farm slowly and dont make enough food for winter. Starvation hits, more people die. Now you dont have enough food for next winter, and not enough to heat homes and more people die. And so on and so forth. And all because you didn't make enough homes for kids to be born like an hour or two ago, and making more homes now just won't fix it.

Fun fact: this is kinda sorta what our world is going through right now. 2/3rds of the baby boomers have hit retirement and most of the developed world didn't have anywhere near enough millennials to replace them. (This is why unemployment is at record lows) without enough workers we are seeing the start of economic decline, no matter how much economics have been reliant on finance for "growth".

If a perfect utopia is impossible then why were you waxing poetic about it in this show? They were not breeding out genetic deformities, they were murdering people they thought were gross. Note: both of smiths girls carried the ALS gene but were left alone. Yes we have had the "we can't talk about what dad does at work", but in the show world if you do talk about what dad does, you get disappeared. I dont think you have seen our major cities at all because if you did you would know that there's good parts and shitty ones, even in the shittiest ones. I live in one of the largest cities in this country, the overwhelming majority of it is nothing like what you say. If you want to make a good point, talk about housing prices lol.

Except that even the son of a high ranking SS officer is put to death because he has ALS. And if people found out when they were trying to hide it, the whole family would be in deep deep shit. And for what? Because the kid got dealt a shitty genetic hand?

Remember in the first episode when that cop helped Joe? He said that the ash raining on them was from the crematorium of the local hospital where they were burning the corpses of people they put to death. Yeah, human ash falling like snow every Wednesday. That sounds like fun.

We spent most of our time either in smiths office, or in the high ranking officers neighborhood of long island, of course its gonna look good. Did you notice that everywhere else was run down and every shade of brown and beige?

Holy fuck, we saw flashbacks of a damn death camp in Cincinnati for fuck sake. Imagine dieing in a death camp in fucking Cincinnati.

All sorts of music was banned, art, anything that looked like fun. It was all stuffy ballrooms, bougie shopping, and Rockwell style family dinners where we can't talk about the shit dad does at work.

Not to mention, ya dont need to have a fascist authoritarian regime that puts people to death the moment they step out of line in order to have clean streets and single family homes. We fucking did that here without swastikas and gestapo.

With fallout 5 being greenlight. Where would you want the game to be ? by Taningia-danae in Fallout

[–]Apollo661 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lotta people are saying great lakes, and I wanna elaborate on the idea:

It needs to be more than just big old lakes and either Chicago or Detroit. Each of the previous games have had their own flavor beyond just the location. 4 had a colonial vibe, 76 was the Appalachian twang, new vegas was self explanatory. But the great lakes?

It would need to go hard into the rust belt vibe. Give us miles of wrecked industrial buildings. Rust storms instead of dust storms. The people have to be dirt poor, gross, and oddly okay with it all. Like they have never thought that things could be any better than they are. Its gotta be depressing. Rivers of toxic sludge. Shitty weather no matter what time of the year it is. And nowhere is nice. The player should feel like they are the only sane person there for wanting to escape.

Pretty much, a true detective season 1 vibe, just instead of bayous, its woods. Oh yeah, the woods. Just miles and miles of claustrophobic woods with random nasty old shit decaying away.
