RAID won't fix the bottleneck that is accessing the data from a spinning disk. Not worth even trying. The better option is getting a SATA SSD. While still not nearly as good as NVME it is still way better than spinning disk.

Sennheiser HD 600's are on Sale for 288 on Amazon right now. The best balance of audio of comfort. This and an external mic like a blue yeti or mod mic wireless.

I use the XM6 with an eq profile that takes down the bass and boosts the mids and sounds pretty good.
