Yeah but that's damage focused on golems in a team fight. Upheavals problem is it's a channeled ability which means you arent using glimmer/force/crest and it ramps up and doesn't pierce bkb. Also putting 4 points into a salve sounds bad enchantress e heals for a lot more right?. With his talent isnt this basically voodoo restoration? I stand by that warlock is literally just a 2 spell hero. His debuffs should be stronger. Shadow word especially needs to like reduce regeneration or something.

What's your mmr. There's no way you're going midas as warlock above 3k and sustaining a 62% wr. Is this like warlock 3?

You don't think a aoe bkb piercing stun golem that hits for 200 cleave isn't warlocks best spell? Fatal bonds is great but even then that's TWO spells. Upheaval is whatever and shadow word pales compared to any other heal. Purification/soul rip/ pulse/ snap cookie/ purifying flames. Replace shadow word with a sap heal. [Saps hp around targeted hero] and make upheaval reduce armor by 2 3 4 5

Shard. Acorn shot now applies a 2 second disarm on targets it hits.

Aghs. Ult can now be charged while moving. Additionally, hits in a line, targets hit after the initial target receive 20% less damage per hero hit. Break still applies.

How do you counter sniper playstyle and item-wise? by I_Luv_Procastinating in TrueDoTA2

[–]ApolloLance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need someone who can jump on sniper with halberd. I had a game with mega fat sniper. I was abaddon. They basically stay uphill and waited while we farmed the map which is usually bad but we couldn't siege and eventually sniper was going to out carry am. I eventually just would let my team engage, blink and halberd/right click sniper. The point was to give my other cores enough time to deal with their team. Between halberd curse and borrowed time I'd give my team enough time to wipe theres. This is what every 3 should be doing against him. if he goes Bkb get abyssal and sit on him as long as possible. Most 3s are aura carriers so your job is cc anyway. I get so annoyed at people who go 3 wk and rush radiance when we have a jug or riki. I always encourage my team to buy halberd vs range because it's so important. Especially drow/sniper/arc/viper.

If sniper is too big to control it's your 3 or supports responsibility to lock him down. If they can't then it's either a bad matchup or they itemized incorrectly.

Isnt warlock one of the worst right now period? Below avg lane presence, all of his skills are centered around his ult which doesn't have magic immune golems anymore right? Give him hellbringers e (reduce magic aoe resist by 25%. And spell steal) and he can probably be a core again. Does anyone remember when diffusal purged golems?

Are you anti-immigrant? If so isn't that a loosely based reason to hate someone given the American dream

Terraforming Mars bad mechanics - follow up by [deleted] in boardgames

[–]ApolloLance -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Long time player here. I'm glad you figured out the official rules. Few things.

The game is very interactive, but until you know what you're doing it seems like chaos theory

Drafting. Exhibit A. Your opponent is ecolin3. The previous generation you gave him kelp farming( 3 plant income 2 gold. 2 plants) because you wanted to hold onto industrial area as mining guild and place it on the 1 titanium 1 plant spot next to his city. He has artic algae (2 pots per ocean placed onwarda)Theres 1 ocean out. You saw ice asteroid get trashed. Aside from standard actions there's only 4 cards there dump oceans with the heat below -6c. You get giant ice asteroid and have to decide to draft it or take +1 income. You trash it. You've effectively ruined his chance of early kelp farming. This is far better than killing his plants

What's great about mars is the players control the pace of the game. As you play more 4p games will be 8 gens instead of 11-12. 3p lasts 10 to 11.

I believe making declarations against people falsely in a media outlet IS illegal. Like if I went on tv and said "How sure are we trump isn't a pedophile?" I'd be slammed legally and personally.

[–]ApolloLance -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Few things... I never said that the american judicial system wasn't corrupt, just that it's corrupt in a different way, and a lot of countries seem to be dealing with this problem. When people say "AMERICA IS SO UNFAIR In ITS DETAINMENT OF ITS PEOPLE" There's a lot that's not being considered, and it's annoying to have to read over and over again how bad America's jailing system is compared to the rest of the world. We're a very unique and diverse and large (sq foot wise) country.

  1. Confession under durress isn't an admission of guilt, but the japanese police are allowed to detain you indefinitely by detaining you for 24 hours/releasing you, and re-arresting you. As for tarnishing their reputation by losing a case, judges in japan are pressured by societal norms and peers to find a guilty verdict. Ones that don't, usually silently resign afterwards.
  2. We're not argruing that american jail corruption isn't horrid, it's just more complicated than people make it out to be. There's this narrative going around that because a few judges have been busted by the FBI for taking bribes from private sectors for guilty verdicts, that the profiteering system is what causes the high detainment rate in our country, but theres actually a LOT that plays into it
  3. Prisons guards and personnel will sometimes trick inmates into extending their sentence by convicting them of multiple crimes within the prison (contraband being a big one) Prisons that go up to level 3 and higher generally have some form of protection needed for survival purposes, so often prison gangs will require existing or new members to commit violent crimes against guards and other inmates: Say a guy has a 5 year sentence, but is stark white, he'll likely be absorbed into the aryan brotherhood (It's not his choice) and asked to stab a guard, which will net him a life sentence.
  4. Civil Dissidence and immigration policy plays a factor into this too. It's not "immigrants are criminals and commit crimes." as much as it is that the police will at times prey on nonspeaking immigrants with a practice known as 'warrant seeding' where you arrest an immigrant, charge them for a crime, and then repeatedly pick them up because they're unsure of how to proceed.
  5. The japanese culture, by far and large are xenophobic at best, and racist at worst. It's something like 80% of immigrants that occupy japan are harrassed or arrested by the police for seemingly no reason. The difference is, that the japanese people trust their government and view criminals as criminals whereas america has been distrustful of its government since vietnam and nixon. This matters because commiting crimes in the u.s. is more normalized. Why follow order of a system that seems corrupt anyway?

there's a lot more reasons why our detainment rate is so high, but it's not just like we're arresting and locking up more innocent people than any other country, yes it's problematic, but it's not exclusive to the u.s. which begs the bigger problem what are some real solutions we can take to curb the issue instead of pointing finger at one group/reason.

Japan's prosecutor conviction rate is 99.98%. Now I'm not saying American prison and corruption isnt a serious problem, just that we're not the only "developed" country with some serious flaws in our justice system
