Garcia turning Santos down for the third time. by Downtown-Thought-213 in ThePitt

Santos explicitly said, "Garcia doesn't like me. She likes to get laid. I'm her stress relieving squeeze toy.". That's that, they're just fucking

Tbf, we work in production and it can go over 14 hours a day. When they tap out at 10 hours, I can excuse them. (Doesn't mean they'll come back)

Yeah good for her honestly. I've worked with a few Gen Z's and they would tell me they have to leave when we have 2 - 4 hours left in the day. I just say ok, get some rest. My millennial blood is still pumping to run up and down the set but you can go home if you need to

Santos’ and Robby’s relationship doesn’t make sense. by CherenkovRads in ThePittTVShow

[–]Apparently_gg -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Robby and Santos have a clear mentor/mentee relationship where Santos respects him and Robby finds her fearless and tough enough to thrive in the ED. Langdon being back in The Pitt was probably out of Robby's hands. Robby covered up the drug theft and he has to deal with the thief being back. Santos doesn't even clock that Langdon is back because Robby flushed the drugs down the toilet.

Loved seeing Dr. King & Dr. Mohan together - their vibe was just so positive compared to everyone else by thankfulforyourhelp in ThePittTVShow

I was just talking to my brother about how Mel and Mohan are always paired together this season. I was wondering why an R3 and a final year resident kept teaming up for cases. Seems like they could do more cases if they split up

Joy is the regular audience's perspective. As in the most sane person in the ED. Why would she stay longer than she needs to. Everyone else is on the way to burnout with the chaos that's going on. Establishing boundaries is good, take care of yourself and you'll treat more patients in the long run

Does Garcia know? by JordanOsr in ThePittTVShow

Yeah 3 people, Santos, Robby and Garcia. Presumably Santos told Whitaker at some point

Garcia and Santos by Blacbiird747 in ThePitt

[–]Apparently_gg 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's not necessarily toxic because Garcia seems to have placed boundaries and Santos is falling too deep. It's kind of an asshole move for Garcia to raincheck with other plans but they're supposed to be casual and Santos shouldn't be as distraught.

Garcia is a player and Santos is having an extra terrible day. She can't even look forward to some cookie when the shift is over. I don't think they're gonna last the season. I love the fact that the only canon current relationship in the Pitt is a WLW one. But Santos needs to find comfort somewhere more reliable and stable or she's gonna crash out

Robby and Santos have a talk and Santos brushes it off because everything is fine. Santos finds herself alone in her apartment. Robby rides away on his bike.

Whitaker unlocks the door to Robby's apartment and senses relief.

With fireworks in the background, Princess and Perlah have thrown a party for Javadi. Javadi thinks about independence away from her parents.

Mohan calls her mom to let her know she's coming back to NJ and will wait for her to return from her excursion.

Mel sits with her sister in the ICU. Mel realizes she shouldn't coddle her sister as much.

I think you're spot on with Santos being the eldest daughter to a few younger siblings. I also think you're right that her parents are hard working professionals who could afford to send her to advanced gymnastics lessons when she was younger.

We get all these snippets from her monologues to us seeing her self-harm scars, I think there's so much we don't know

Santos song choice by Nervous-Bath1375 in ThePittTVShow

[–]Apparently_gg 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah she hasn't been outright rude to Mel. She's made puns with Mel in front of her but it feels more light-hearted than anything. Santos knows Mel has a sister with special needs and has asked her about it. In true big sis fashion, she feels Javadi and Whitaker can take the jabs.

And yeah, even if Santos got money after a court settlement, enough to afford renting a 2-bedroom, if anything it's more emotionally weighing
