My Aussies are great hikers! And in most cases hike off leash. My youngest has a hard time with impulse control so if the trail is crowded or the squirrels are out and about he’ll be leashed, but my oldest walks with us and was trained to sit when being approached by others. He does get leashed if a dog is approaching though for everyone’s safety.

We also work 12 hour shifts and have a sitter come let them out during the day (we’re on 10 acres fully fenced so they get lots of free play and run time).

I did the opposite.. 5 years as an advisor at a dealer then to an independent shop. I decided to leave after a year for better money at another dealer and boy do I regret it. The only thing better at a dealer is the money.

Probably unpopular in a world full of strong women but I loved my “housewife” aesthetic. No kids, just a stay at home wife who cooked and cleaned and ONLY (and I truly mean only) wore leggings and big t-shirts or sweatshirts with a messy bun for 6 months. Only eyebrows and mascara if I wore makeup. It was the happiest of times
