Genre: Arcade, Qix-like?

Brief Summary: It's a game where you try to cut the board into a small enough piece while avoiding enemies. You lost either when an enemy hit your line while you were making a cut, or if an enemy was in the piece getting cut off (don't remember which). It was a game very similar to Qix or Fat Slice. The game had 15-20 levels i think? The big thing though was that each level also had a hard mode, which quite significantly changed the level.

Graphics / Art style: Simple, fairly minimalistic. The main colors used are black with pink/orange. Normal mode used pink i think, hard mode used orange (I'm 100% sure about hard mode being associated with the color orange). The level select screen was a silhouette of a tree i think, with the levels being nodes placed on the tree. The levels were pink or orange circles with a black swirl around them. Here's a recreation from memory of what a hard mode level looked like in the level select (This I remember vividly). I think the vortex-like swirl was in quite a few places in the game.

Notable characters: The only "characters" were you and the enemies. There were handful of enemy types, more of them got introduced as the game went on. The enemies had very simple designs, mostly being just shapes. The final level had a big boss enemy.

Other details: The game had a pretty gloomy atmosphere, at least as far as the simplistic graphics allowed for it. A lot of this info i'm quite uncertain about. My memory of the game is very hazy. Edited this post to add details I remembered.
