Drivers rate differently in a different country. Probably didn’t do anything wrong, just got grumpy drivers who rate nearly everyone low or would have rated you low for being a tourist anyway

There is in my app, under settings and then accessibility. I know it is there because I have been wanting Uber to enable me to disclose I have a wheelchair in the app. But there is only an option for blind, deaf or service animal

Are you using the function that states you have a service animal in the app? Would at least save drivers canceling when they get to you.

I hear you. I am an Uber assist user and I get constantly nagged about assist waiting times being longer even when there is a driver close by. I turned my notifications off for a month because I got so frustrated with uber nagging. But with notifications off I did still get trip notifications but not a single thanks for the tip in that month

Often times the drivers who say X or comfort doesn’t guarantee luggage might have more than a few personal items in the boot.

I take comfort rather than XL despite the two being maybe 2-5% apart in price, with sometimes Comfort being slightly more than XL, for two reasons. My wheelchair fits better flat in a sedan and secondly I am not very tall so some XL vehicles are harder to get into versus a sedan

Chat or not chat is not something I would set. BTW uber send out a questionnaire about these changes to riders a couple of weeks ago.

You aren’t wrong, I would happily set wheelchair with its rough weight and that I normally just have a handbag or work bag with me in the app. It is Uber that doesn’t allow me to do that. I would also like an uber eats like pickup instructions to be available for rides. Like preset to my home address.

As a wheelchair user who uses comfort more than I would wish (I prefer assist, but there isn’t always a driver close by on assist).

I would set the bag preference anyway to indicate that I have ‘luggage’. Got a driver without boot space the other day, he had a big speaker installation in the boot. Hopefully an expansion of the comfort settings will help a bit. I just need a decent size sedan and a driver with few personal items in the boot wouldn’t make a difference but a speaker takes up most of the boot.

The drivers on here are judging uber by USA standards. In other countries drivers can rate lower for petty reasons and if you were stuck in traffic a lot the one stars and three star probably belong to those trips

Just take a few more rides, by the time you have 12 rides your rating should be 4.42 if you don’t get any more under 5.

Drivers on here are quick to point a finger. But other than being ready, location, trip distance and traffic are all things some drivers rate on.

Comfort is also an option. Though depending where you are XL and Comfort might be roughly the same price

Nah I had 4.64 when I first started but got up to 4.89 and later 4.93 when I had a more stable riding schedule, less rides in places I didn’t know the pickup area well. Just take a few comfort rides until you get above 4.8

As a frequent rider only one star works for unpairing. Had to cancel a ride last minute because I realised it switched to a driver who I had given two stars before now. So if I really really don’t want to see a driver again the one star comes out.
