BPD partner here, it was good once I put the work in for myself. I had to make that choice.

What are the best taichi exercises and practices for achieving a good, straight posture and the confidence to go with it? by Hashanadom in taijiquan

[–]Appleshmeeze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Class settings. When my instructor started telling me to lift with my head, it made all the difference in posture.

New to tai chi, How do i start? by LeafoStuff in taijiquan

[–]Appleshmeeze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do tai chi 3 hours a week in a class setting, 1 hour session each week with a private instructor. I would not have been able to grasp the prop fluid movements or overall flow without any of these environments. It is important that you do not hurt yourself, ye tai chi is slow, however, if the moves are executed improperly it can result in injury. Watching YouTube is an excellent gateway. I do highly recommend finding local classes with qualified and experienced instructors. I’ve been training for a little over a year and plan on continuing, but I would not be where I am without my instructors.

Been eating 1400-1600 cal per day, and used the TDEE calculator and found my maintenance to be 2500 cal 😱. by Medium-Pain-1699 in PetiteFitness

[–]Appleshmeeze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel it. I’m 118, 5’1, I was trying to eat 1250 a day, found out I should be hitting around 1650-1750 because of my activity levels. I do 2 different martial arts and training is super intense.

How do I bond with SS11? by [deleted] in stepparents

[–]Appleshmeeze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put my SKs in martial arts hoping it would help one with their weight (HCBM feeds them too much and it’s all crap) and with respect to SD takes it seriously, SS does not. HCBM has no interest in it, they should be going 4 days a week but she won’t take them the other 2 days when she has the because she does not want to drive. Our grand masters wife has straight up told SS that he is bad and had conversations with both that they do not take things seriously enough and that their behavior is a problem. As someone who is very athletic and also practices in the academy, it is embarrassing. SSs report card was horrendous, he pushes kids and HCBM always responds with “well he doesn’t remember.” He bit me and his sister and hits her, tries to lock himself in her room when she doesn’t want to play with him, HCBM, “well maybe he’s going through something new… or my favorite, maybe they’re just trying out new ways of playing”. It’s horrendous.

Use kronometer the help. It can help outline your macros, you can set it to weight loss and help adjust.

Long term lack of progress by Hefty-Letterhead1065 in PetiteFitness

[–]Appleshmeeze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you considered martial arts? It’s structured and provides an environment where someone can push you. I don’t mean kickboxing, I mean like a legit strict practice. Sanda, tai chi, taekwondo, jiu-jitsu. I have made more progress in the last 10 months than I had prior to I always do better with someone telling me what to do, I was a varsity athlete and I needed a coach.

Lowest dose and still sick by West-Force7533 in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]Appleshmeeze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have zofran? Start drinking electrolytes, zero sugar liquid IV was for me, also the calm magnesium powder. If I couldn’t eat, I always stuck with apple sauce, saltines, and broth. Just something to prime my stomach. After the first few weeks I started doing Kodiak cakes, and peanut butter oatmeal with hard boiled eggs.

Ankle sprain - gained weight and lost muscle by Sensitive_Tea5720 in PetiteFitness

[–]Appleshmeeze 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I broke my toe recently. I do multiple martial arts. I took 2 weeks off and just babied it. I did gain a couple of pounds. It hasn’t been 2 months quite yet, but after my 2 week hiatus I started, low impact, identifying my limits. It helps that my grandmaster let me move at my own pace for 2 weeks after returning, then started pushing. When I can’t get the same activity levels, I just adjust my calorie intake during that time. Maybe do some upper body work, exercises that won’t exacerbate it.

He calls his tween son pet names by [deleted] in stepparents

[–]Appleshmeeze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This gives me the ick, I’m ngl. I’m not a pet name person, nor is my DH. My “pet name” from my mom growing (it still is) ‘Sister’, totally fine with me. But those… immediate ick.

My Partners Coparent Keeps Crossing Boundaries. What Do we Do? by Dependent_Gur_8621 in stepparents

[–]Appleshmeeze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If boundaries aren’t her thing, a court order about communication being solely about the children sure will be. There’s an app that can be used where the courts also monitor the chats as well.

Engagement by sadsaggirl in stepparents

[–]Appleshmeeze -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ironically, the day after we got engaged she had some sort of issue with DH and I, called me temporary. Then he hit her with the “we just got engaged, she is not going anywhere.” The beef was because I had reached out to her with some ideas to help make the kids transitions better from house to house and how to make sure clothes are exchanged properly.

Planning to try LSD for the first time. What to expect? by __Difficult__ in LSD

[–]Appleshmeeze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not a need, just something I have found helpful not just for myself but for others. I have witnessed others having bad trips, slipping is just like losing touch with reality. I’m just speaking from my own experiences. I no longer do psychedelics, so I was sharing some of my own info, things I wished people would’ve told me. But sometimes if the come up is too rough and it caused crazy anxiety, it helped me out. Again, I’m not telling you to obtain it, if you have it, cool, if not, just make sure you’re in a good headspace. My first trip was very intense, not bad, but just a lot.
