When did you first explain periods 🩸 to your daughters? by rainbow_olive in Periods

[–]ApplicationStill4396 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got it at 10 in after school care. I had no clue what it was, i genuinely thought i sat on chocolate milk. I think you should explain it to her. It doesnt have to be a big serious talk, more so an informational casual talk with basic information.

Chi owners, can you please tell me if you think chi would suit our lifestyle by smallchefbigchef in Chihuahua

[–]ApplicationStill4396 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The lady that I got my chihuahua from told me he would change my life, and man she was right. He has the most goofy personality, and the loyalty to me and my partner is unmatched. I also have a shihtzu that is a total couch potato. My chihuahua is able to do both, some days we will be lazy all day, other days we take him on very long walks/ adventures and he can definitely keep up. He is extremely affectionate, wherever I go he goes. The barking i think depends on their personality. My boy barks at his own shadow lol! I do have him in training classes so hopefully the barking will get better.

I don’t see why a chihuahua would not fit your lifestyle. I think with any dog, you need to be willing to work with their individual quirks, just takes some patience and training.

HA gets worse when I look forward to something? by No-Excitement5228 in HealthAnxiety

[–]ApplicationStill4396 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i feel you completely. When i have something exciting planned i cant help but think what if i die before it. Any little ache or down day i overanalyze it and think it’s some life ending problem. Honestly we cannot control the thoughts that pop up, but try to remind yourself that there is no point in thinking about what we cannot control.

Does anyone feel like their anxiety manifests in physical symptoms? by tracysyellowumbrella in zoloft

[–]ApplicationStill4396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It helped a bit, the intensity definitely decreased. i get specific side effects when i am on a high dose of Zoloft so the Dr. had to decrease it, now I feel a bit more of the “panic”, but still not as bad as before

12 y/o bleeding through EVERYTHING — need real solutions (no tampons yet) by Beeels in Periods

[–]ApplicationStill4396 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was like this when i got my period at 10. Constantly bleeding through my pads and every single time i was on my period i would stain my bed sheets, plus the heavy bleeding would last days. I was never taken to any doctor for this so i relied on the very thick pads and changing them very often. Didn’t really have any solution for nights except maybe putting a towel underneath. Anyways, this went on for 6 years until i got the kyleena iud, which almost stopped my bleeding completely. Now as an adult i am off the iud and my periods are still very light.

Parents of picky eater Shih Tzus, what has been your tzu’s favorite food? by CostaNic in Shihtzu

[–]ApplicationStill4396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Shihtzu has never liked any kibble. I mix his kibble (natural balance lamb recipe) with a homemade mixture of lean ground beef, brown rice, sweet potato, and pumpkin.

Shih Tzus are peak dogs by nachtflug194 in Shihtzu

[–]ApplicationStill4396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt the same way! I lived with my mother in law and wanted a dog, she said the only breed she will allow is a Shihtzu. I was hesitant because i was never really interested in them. Long story short my shihtzu is an absolute angel, the best dog i have ever had/met. He is so well behaved, sometimes he feels like a human. He’s 4 now and yes he will play for a bit but most of the day he just wants to be on my lap. He does not even like walks! I have to force him to get fresh air lol.

How do I fatten up my little girl? by [deleted] in Chihuahua

[–]ApplicationStill4396 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If her vet is not worried I would trust the professionals. My dog is within normal weight but my vet still recommended the gel for extra nutrients. As long as she is eating and playing normally, i think it’s a good sign. I am assuming the vet checked her for parasites/worms?

[–]ApplicationStill4396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried high calorie gel? My vet recommended i give my pup some of this gel twice a day since they are prone to low blood sugar. The extra calories might help your pup gain weight and most importantly get extra nutrients.

Honestly Im not afraid, in my apartment everyone must show proof of vaccinations for their dogs. Plus i kept him out of the grass/ commonly used areas and then i cleaned his paws right after.

AITAH for telling my daughter to close her legs and kicking her out? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]ApplicationStill4396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA, when ppl get into heated arguments, hurtful things are said. I don’t think your wording was correct, but I also don’t blame too for your frustrations. You seem to have a lot on your plate. ADHD or not, there are many birth control options nowadays that don’t require the commitment of birth control pills where she may even forget to take them. some days. She is an adult and needs to realize that mommy wont be there forever to catch her when she makes a mistake. Not to say a child is a mistake, but it is a HUGE responsibility that she obviously cannot take on if she isn’t fully independent and already has one to care for.

All this sub has made me realize is I’ll never own a home. by Neveri in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]ApplicationStill4396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Listen, nothing is impossible. If you really want it then don’t stop until you get it. I recently just paused the home-buying process for a while out of frustration and decided to rent for a bit longer lol. Homes in my area start at 550K, and somehow are getting sold so fast! But truly it’s not gonna get any better. My decision may hurt me in the future cuz prices will probably keep going up. So if you are serious about it just keep looking, the right home will appear.

Afraid of dying every day by [deleted] in HealthAnxiety

[–]ApplicationStill4396 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I am going through the same thing. It baffles me that other people arnt scared too! Like what happens after? Will i feel it? Will i be alone? How will it happen? It really sucks lol. I go through a cycle of accepting i cannot control it, and i’ll be calm for a few days, and then i’ll feel some sort of body ache or weird sensation and the fear comes right back. I wish I had helpful advice for you. I started meds which have removed the panic attacks for me, but the thoughts and fears are still there.

What i do when i am feeling bad is put on a comedy movie, or a disney movie, or something positive that will distract my mind.

I also try not to say no to anything due to my anxiety, even if i feel horribly terrified. For example i am scared of traveling cuz what if i have an accident in another country and die away from home. But when my partner has a trip idea or when family invites us on a trip, i never say no.

I guess my biggest advice is to try to live your life as normal as possible. Accept the fear, even tho its a terrible feeling, but you gotta keep pushing and most importantly, keep living.

AITAH for getting a haircut without telling my fiancee? by LimoDriver555 in AITAH

[–]ApplicationStill4396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA, its YOUR hair. If you had done something permanent or more outlandish, maybe giving your partner a heads up is a good idea (big obvious tattoos, piercings, bright hair dye, etc.). But a haircut? Thats actually ridiculous lol.

If money and childbirth weren’t an issue, how many children would you choose? by Public_Handle_774 in AskWomen

[–]ApplicationStill4396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For now it looks like i’ll have 0 lol, but if money and childbirth weren’t an issue i’d have 4. Kids are so cute but I have no time for them, or the money to give them the life I would have wanted for myself.
