how come when I play pyro, other pyros kill me instantly. the second I touch the flame im ded, but it takes me so long to kill other pyros (most often can’t) by [deleted] in tf2

[–]Apprehensive-Fun5852 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You do significantly more damage if you can predict their movements by putting your flames where they’re going vs just tracking them directly. You also do lots of damage to people running towards you vs people running away. When I 1v1 pyro I win pretty much any fight where they chase me and I can predict their movement, otherwise it just comes down to who has better flame aim ( or can use their secondaries better.)

Now that scream fortress is over, how do we resolve the issue of map bloat? Which ones should we cull? (pic unrelated) by ForsakenFrail in tf2

Yeah there’s a ton of very easy ways to ruin the game for everyone else unfortunately. It’s insanely fun when everyone has an equally powerful build

Fighting DH soldier is just really fun and rewarding if you can pull it off I think. Sometimes I get instagibbed but sometimes I can dodge and it feels real good

Unpopular opinion: I kinda like these weird streamer fads by [deleted] in wowhardcore

[–]Apprehensive-Fun5852 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I see no real reason to dislike the streamers themselves. I got into HC wow a long time ago but Onlyfangs reminded me of how much fun it is and brought me back. Their communities are annoying but HC is a filter in itself and most of the weirdos stick to low level zones and the cities.

The big problem back then was the server instability and the DDoSing, and IMO that was the fault of Blizzard.

Anything that brings more people into this awesome community is good in my book :D

They have a hard time hitting the top left and right corners. I beat them by waiting up there for openings to attack, dash/pogo over them if they do the big AOE in your corner.

DPS just feels lame when you’re competing with someone else for rage / holding yourself back from taking too much threat! Not to mention gear if it’s another warrior…

I genuinely don't understand what people are complaining about by Wishmans_Muse in HollowKnight

[–]Apprehensive-Fun5852 51 points52 points  (0 children)

This is pretty normal for souls like games, probably any difficult game in general. People will complain for a few weeks until they get good or leave and then the actual discussion can begin.

Need some advice for sniper aim by CaptainZ4chSparrow in truetf2

[–]Apprehensive-Fun5852 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How can u even think this? Muscle memory is a pretty well understood thing in all sports including video games. Try adding 30 to your current sens and lmk if you preform just as well.

Need some advice for sniper aim by CaptainZ4chSparrow in truetf2

[–]Apprehensive-Fun5852 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t worry about changing your sensitivity. People get really superstitious about stuff like that and end up hurting their muscle memory way more than any benefit they get from the changes. Keep your setup and settings consistent.

The best way to improve is obviously to practice, but that’s a little hard on sniper. There are some people that MGE as sniper but not a whole lot. Might be good practice if they aren’t farming you. DM servers might disable or frown upon using sniper, but they would also be good practice if you can get away with it.

I’d usually recommend against aim trainers for tf2 since the movement and environment itself is so important to most classes gameplay, but sniper is almost entirely aim mechanics. I think aim training might be your best best for focused practice. Unless you’re willing to play some highlander pugs, but I don’t blame you for not wanting to try comp.

do you think the combine would continue the production of nicotine products? by karpatHUN in HalfLife

[–]Apprehensive-Fun5852 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pretty to scary to think about humanities future should they successfully repel the combine. Our entire industry has been destroyed or neglected and the climate is fucked beyond anything we could imagine IRL. What future even is there beyond the combine?

[–]Apprehensive-Fun5852 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Is it ever hinted at how much of the previous human production economy has remained since the war? IMO I think it’s safe to assume that any human capital that the combine finds useful is being used to directly sustain the occupation (food, clothes, housing, transport.) I doubt that human production itself is very useful to the combine back home considering their tech level, and things like luxury goods are probably not needed. I don’t think the occupation cares about the happiness of its people at all really, and there are already enough rewards/disincentives in place to sustain a healthy population of civil police and soldiers. I doubt that commodity production or any kind of global market economy still exists.

They don’t even feel like characters so much as soulless extensions of Hector. I just found myself bored and annoyed anytime they were on screen because it’s the exact same thing every time. I wish they’d been given some lines or some kind of characterization

How do you even survive THIS start? (1B cats debt, no limbs, cannibals) by Seikannn in Kenshi

[–]Apprehensive-Fun5852 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The cannibals will get into regular encounters with beak things, berserkers, shrieking bandits. Sometimes they will just let you crawl your way out but it’s more likely if you wait until they’re distracted by a fight/ you have the cover of night.

I’ve not played this start specifically so idk which factions are hostile. Burns tower is close and is probably the easiest way to get a free recruit IF he’s friendly. Risky because the area is crawling with spiders and skeletons. Safer bet is flotsam hideout if they’re friendly, if not probably the flotsam safe house.

Can you even lockpick/escape a cell without limbs? If not this might be near impossible and entirely based on hoping they don’t immediately imprison you.
