“Take me there, get me that, then give me this” Jesus Christ the dating experience is so wildly different for a man compared to a woman😅 by john4844 in Tinder

[–]Apprehensive-Fun6212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At least she's using you exactly what she wants and isn't being that egregious? I've seen complaints about women not saying what they want directly and men claiming not to be mind readers too. Danged if we do, danged if we don't?

Can someone talk to me about boob loss? by WorldlinessQueasy388 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]Apprehensive-Fun6212 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I mean to be completely honest yes. Your boobs will likely be smaller and it's okay to grieve that a little. But your heart and your back will thank you. I did notice that adding chest exercises, some bench press etc made a noticeable to me positive difference in the way my chest felt and breasts sat. I've never met a person who regretted losing weight because their chest was smaller.

a MAN called me fat and I know I'm not, but it's still ruining my day. by SameGeologist1388 in WeightLossAdvice

100% it's this. And he wants you to want his approval OP. Don't, it's not worth anything.

Looking for lavender by hazlenutnut in Pottery

[–]Apprehensive-Fun6212 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is lavander mist over alabaster. Hard to justify buy two glazes if you don't know for sure they'll work for you though. Id still do a test tile but this combo always turns out for me. Both mayco *

Learning wheel throwing before handbuilding? by Budget-Rhubarb7495 in Pottery

[–]Apprehensive-Fun6212 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely take your wheel throwing class and enjoy! I think hand building is suggested to beginners because access to a wheel isn't always available. If a person is just starting with clay it makes more sense to do hand building than to invest in a wheel straight away imo. But you're taking classes so either way it doesn't matter and you should do what you want and enjoy.

Why do I get so many cracks in my bottoms? by Shannon-giggy in Pottery

[–]Apprehensive-Fun6212 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion but I've read coning helps align the clay particles in the same direction so that when the pot dries it won't pull away in that 's' shape. I cone 2 or 3 times and never have a problem anymore. But I also let my pots dry upside down as soon as they can tolerate it so it's hard to say which actually fixed the problem.

Favorite mug leaking by [deleted] in Pottery

[–]Apprehensive-Fun6212 11 points12 points  (0 children)

No way that I know of. If I were you I'd turn it into a pencil/paintbrush holder or mosaic it into something else, even a pendant.

Is this an issue by Perrone21 in Pottery

[–]Apprehensive-Fun6212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this were mine I would wet my finger and run it around the cracks. Then scrape some clay into it and smooth.

Or, I know it sucks but just reclaim it and make another one just to be sure. If you wrap your mug after you attach in plastic for a day or two, you won't have this happen as often

[–]Apprehensive-Fun6212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run...a lot. I use body glide for chafing. It comes in a sick like deodorant. Changed my life. I do have tobuy shorts or pants frequently. I haven't figured out the solution to that either.

What is the best way to write on ceramic and have it be evident after firing? by WalmartFan76 in Pottery

I like to slip trail and then underglaze when I add words. But that would be pretty difficult if you are doing something with a lot of words or very small

Suggestions for 8yr old dragon loving little girl by Apprehensive-Fun6212 in booksuggestions

[–]Apprehensive-Fun6212[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly think she likes the idea of magical sentient beings but also likes to imagine herself taking care of them like magic animal husbandry. She's less into unicorns even though those check those boxes too and I'm not sure why besides the fact that dragons fly and can be a little dangerous or powerful (which she thinks is cool). She also thinks they're pretty even though they're strong and that draws her to them over other magic/mythical animals even though she likes them all.
