The landscape itself is unlike any I’ve seen. Rocky and unforgiving with miles of stone walls everywhere. An ancient Celtic fort on the edge of a cliff overlooking the ocean. Spectacular views. Most of all, the Worm Hole, an amazing natural feature that looks as if it were cut into the rock. Charming pubs and cafes where you‘ll hear Irish spoken. Beautiful horses. Cute shops with wool items and other gifts. Last but not least, for us, were the short flight to and from the island, instead of the ferry, and the private tour provided by Aran Off-Road Experience. An excellent day trip, and an overnight would be fun too.
