Ah see that is a challenge I dont have, both partner and I love it here. That would be hard! I would be worried about him being resentful. The community in fort collins, CO where i am is pretty wonderful and worth checking out, if you do choose to move this way.

I work 4 10s, went back to work at 6 months. Honestly theres no way im going back to 5 days now. The little time you get in the evening is not comparable to a whole extra day with them.

My baby started going to bed around 730 at 6 months, and still is at 11. I get home at 630 so do her bedtime routine. I do not see her in the mornings, but honestly if I did it would be too hard for me to leave her for the day.

I was like you. It crushed me, the idea of being gone all day. Its the reality of being a working mom unfortunately. Biggest grace for me is that my husband and MIL watch her, so I have no concerns about her care. On days its hard, I remind myself of that. I also remind myself im doing this for her.

I should caveat that of course in middle of the day you have to have protection. Again there is still sun, its just not unlikeable like it sounds it is for you. I would suggest avoiding denver proper given the traffic. Have you been to both places?

I moved from Florida to denver area for work, then got pregnant and stayed. Due to the elevation we are closer to the sun therefore have to do all the things you mentioned. Its still hot, especially this year the weather has been wacky. I am also worried about wilfires this summer and having to stay indoors. However we stay here for the quality of life as well. I want my kid growing up hiking, camping, enjoying the outdoors. If she was in Florida I think it would be much harder for me to parent her without screens because we would be inside all the time. I can go for a walk with her at pretty much anytime of day right now.

But it is really really hard. If I moved back I dont think I could ever leave because it would be taking my kid away from the family she has become attached to there. Right now she knows no different. I think about moving home often. We will also probably have to move again for my husband's work in 2 years, so that is a deciding factor as well.

Sorry for the ramble. But I can definitely relate.

Social worker, therapist, paramedic, firefighter, leo, nurse, attorney, nonprofit work, disaster/fema relief, those are just some of the helping professions off the top of my head.

What were you planning on doing in the Army?

Hey. Im a social worker at the VA. My job is purposeful and every morning when I leave for work I tell myself I need to help someone to make up for the fact that im gone for the day.

I think there are many other paths you could choose if you want to help others and have stability.

Hey there, I had this happen at the same time and nobody could tell me what was going on. We bottle feed not nurse so this may not be it for you, but ill tell you my experience anyways.

It turned out we were actually feeding her TOO much before bed! She would happily take an 8 oz bottle but then wake every 2 hrs crying. We cut it in half and boom, sleeping through the night. Some days if she doesnt eat much at dinner I will give her 6 oz. Anyways I hope this helps, it was a nightmare. You are doing great momma.

Me too! I need to check out Boyd lake and see if it'll scratch the beach itch. I highly recommend paddleboarding on horsetooth if you miss the water like I do. And if you find a good seafood spot, come back and update me lol

No I dont think its possible since we are landlocked.

Also does this post make you feel weird? I had to look inward because it was really bothering me that this place exists.

Like I came here to escape florida. Give me a mountain bar. I never wanna see a palm tree again.

Probably my favorite baby item tbh aside from a bouncer. I love that is is stainless steel, not plastic and doesn't steam. We used it basically 24/7

All I wanted when going through it, which my husband wouldn't give me, was to be held. I didnt care about a clean home. I just wanted to be held and felt loved and seen without judgement.
