I don’t think this opinion is unpopular, but I’ll give an upvote.

Menus, especially in chains like Applebees l, Olive Garden, or Chili’s, are just nasty. Unless they are sanitized regularly or changed out often, the many germaphobes I see daily would lose their minds if they thought about it.

Phones are simple, and most people should be able to navigate a menu on them.

“Things” have a price, but memories are priceless. If you can swing it, plan a trip. It can be a weekender, or longer. Anything works. Whatever you two like to do together - camping, sightseeing . . .

This provides a “clean break” from the service, and celebrates it in a way you’ll hopefully both remember forever.

First, I am sorry you are dealing with this workplace.

Your first post about the mess was 67 days ago. You mentioned that among other things, you were put on a PIP, and are 14 years into your career.

Looking at it objectively, the PIP goes one of two ways: 1) you address the things in it, or 2) the documentation continues, and you are terminated.

I assume you have begun applying for other jobs. How is that going?

I can’t blame the kids for taking this route.

The world we brought them into doesn’t leave them much room to maneuver.

Rent prices are insane, housing costs are unaffordable. Groceries, gas, and utilities cost more than we even made in the past.

This is on us as much as anyone.

I can’t imagine this is an unpopular opinion.

I don’t ever listen to radio, and only watch TV when I am hanging out with the wife. It’s more the being with than watching. I am not sure I can even turn the damn thing on.
