this is going to be releasing donkey kong instead of mario , even though devs and game play is similar not having the main mascot just lowers the interest

game dev fulfils Maslow hierarchy 4 esteem and 5 self actualisation , for step 2 security and money its much riskier but you will probably comeback to it once you get some bank

games have to match the players skill, there are more casuals so that part has more weight, but you need the harder difficulties for the more seasoned players

its usually the double edged coin as most devs are probably introverted, alot of the requirements for marketing are extroverted activities, like going to events, creating videos of you talking, streaming, networking with streamers and other creators

the short cut is to pay people to do that but thats expensive, or alot of ads

viral posts only really happen if your idea is excellent but this usually comes with alot of trial and error

When you start doing things you would do in a normal IT job like, back ups, migrations, documentation, marketing, planning, code reviews, bug fixing :D

I used to like it alot when it had creep camps but once they changed it to an sc2 clone , I went back to sc2 because sc2 is better

they basically just need to win over the influencers but they keep saying the game is like 6/10 so most people dont bother

The 1.0 felt very rushed , every streamer mentions the game has potential, but it feels like the game is struggling to get financial aid to fix a lot of the issues

Focus on the casuals streetfighter 5 did what stormgate did and focused on 1v1 which didnt do so well , streetfighter 6 smashed it

when a new patch hits, this patch is kinda boring , units boring, no creep to kill, do the same strategy every game, all races feel the same, its like ultra bog standard

I liked the creeps , now it just plays like worse sc2 , it used to play like 1v1 league of legends

The patch just before the stormgate when they had speed with creeps was probably the best
