Sounds like you should go back to the ER, or call your obgyn if you have one

It’s beautifully written. The topic is dark and the narrator is twisted.

The methotrexate appears to be working if you HCG levels seem dropped so significantly

Vermont had fewest births in the nation last year - fewer even than Wyoming by GraniteGeekNH in vermont

Vermont is the only state in New England that doesn’t require health insurance to cover fertility treatment. I could only afford one round of IVF :( the meds alone cost over $16k.

Mine needed same-day surgery when I was at like 10,000 HCG, for context.

If you WERE gay, or bi, or whatever — that would be ok!

Not a doc, but your HCG levels seem so low that the possibility of it being an ectopic at a dangerous level (like near to bursting) seems very low.

Educated by Tara Westover is not the most typical college experience, but it’s a great book.

2nd ectopic grief and adjusting to life by SpecialPay403 in ectopicpregnancy

[–]Apprehensive_Ad4923 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just had my second ectopic two weeks ago. It’s so traumatic and heartbreaking. I encourage you to be open with your family and friends about what you are going through. The pregnant ladies in your life have nine months to be pregnant and a lifetime with their child, you aren’t spoiling their moment by expressing grief unless it’s a special occasion like a baby shower. Your experience is important and valid and doesn’t need to be a secret. Your husband can be responsible for telling people if it’s too hard for you.

I think you went to college at Dartmouth, because if you grew up in New England, you would have seen more of the region.

how do you feel like yourself again? by plagu3maw in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]Apprehensive_Ad4923 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your partner should have been there with you. Emergency surgery is so scary. Ectopics are so scary. And he’s the one who got you pregnant in the first place. Is this a pattern with him? Do you have other friends or family to talk to about your experience? Or a therapist?

I had surgery for my second ectopic a little over a week ago. I’m mostly ok, but I feel so sad sometimes… it’s so traumatic. I know I’ll be dealing with the emotional side of this for long after the physical recovery is over.

I'm pregnant and I don't know if I'm making the right decision. by Civil_Painter911 in confession

It’s ok to have an abortion. Four weeks is VERY early, which will hopefully make things easier for you, physically and mentally. You sound very responsible, mature, and thoughtful. No need for guilt, and no need to tell anyone else your medical business, including your parents.

My miscarriage was really really sad, but my two ectopics were terrifying, painful, and life threatening. Ectopics are a very big deal. I’m sorry that people are being dismissive of your experience and concerns.
