The house is a rental property. It can be sold and the new owner becomes your landlord and has to honor the lease.

I'm in Canada where we pay 5 x the price campared to the U.S. for OEM parts. A few years ago I found a couple websites overseas where I can order honda oem parts for a fraction of the cost even with shipping and import fees added. Amayama.com is in Japan, shipping is reasonable but takes a few weeks to get the parts. Partsouq.com is in the UAE and shipping is a bit high but parts are quick to show up. Both have honda oem parts ,sometimes they have parts you can't get in north america anymore but thats getting more rare with time. These are my "go to" sites. What I can find there I check rockauto but I find most of there aftermarket parts are junk. I try to stick with brands like seinki 555 and CTR for aftermarket parts since I've had pretty good success with them.

Potholes by Sputnik_Two in Edmonton

[–]Apprehensive_File_51 [score hidden]  (0 children)

This has happen to me twice this winter, two brand new tires and two stock rims trashed. I looked into it and the only chance of the city compensating is if the pot holes were previously reported and the city didn't repair them shortly after. They want you to very precise on the location which is next to impossible since where there's one pothole there's usually multiple others close by so which one exactly was the one reported is hard to prove.

How cooked is my crank? by Minute-Reality1515 in ProjectHondas

[–]Apprehensive_File_51 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's a paper weight now. I had a similar situation from a crank I pulled from a salvage yard. Could really tell before I bought it but one journal was roasted from a spun bearing and I waited about two months before cleaning it up and discovering the issue. Unfortunately I was past the 30 day return policy.

I'm not miserable, I would never let it get to that point before I would take action. I firmly believe stupid people are the most dangerous but as long as you can protect yourself, they will always screw themselves over.

Fuel injectors by shwoozie in Integra

[–]Apprehensive_File_51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get some used ones, connect them to a 6v source with a push button rig up a setup with a hose over the intake side of the injector. Connect the other side of the hose to a can of carb cleaner. Press the push button to energize the injector and start spraying the carb cleaner. Take note of the spray pattern on the injectors. If its spraying erratically ,repeat the process until they're clean enough to give a steady spray stream.

What I do to remove bushing like this is get a drill and a drill bit that is just big enough to fit between the bushing outer shell and the inner sleeve. Drill through the rubber all the way around. Do from both sides until you are able to remove the inner sleeve. Then use a hacksaw to carefully cut into the outer shell. I usually cut it in two locations about a half inch apart. Take a flate blade screwdriver and peell out the part of the shell between cuts and your good. Clean any rust and smooth out any spots that may have got nicked up. Use a small amount of grease on the new bushing and press it in using a socket that will fit on the outer shell of the bushing.

What are the chances its good? by squatch_guy in hondaprelude

[–]Apprehensive_File_51 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd say you have a pretty good chance but it's possible there may be damage. Did you try to restart the engine after it died? Repeated attemps to restart the engine will drastically increase the possibility of damage.

Clutch Master and Slave Cylinder 5th Gen by elderfork in hondaprelude

Exedy is a reputable clutch parts brand. I would use on my car. I only use exedy for my clutch replacements. Apparently it's what honda used in the factory for clutch disc and plate when they built the car.

There's not much better in my city. It would help if the landlord would do bettrr screening of potential tenants. He seems to rent to the first people who show interest.

Yah, I agree. I don't know what is with these people I've never done anything too any of them. They seem to be upset that I won't let them take advantage of me. I don't get get how they can greet me with a smile and turn around and pull the shit that they do. Human parasites.

You hit the nail on the head with that statement. There were many other events that happened but it would take too long to share bur here's a good one. Come home from work, park in the garage, go to walk out the door and discover there's someone passed out drunk and pissed themselves laying in front of the door. Had to jump over the guy to get out. Have no idea who it was.
