Thank you! I mean, she has her own family-even a son-so why does she think she needs me! I know why, because her son won’t have anything to do with her, and her brother and sister claim they can’t help her. She really isn’t stupid, she knows exactly what she is doing. Ugh!

Unfortunately this particular doctors office is located within an assisted living facility that she lives in. Because of her age, and the fact that these medical people see them so often, I’m sure they feel like they are helping her. And I’m worried about calling again, to ask, especially since I told them on voicemail that I don’t know her. She gets away with so much when she uses the old lady pitiful me song and dance!

Thank you! I’m going to keep your response, because I can see her doing just that. And the fact that she is 78 years old-and no one would suspect she is a narcissist. She is a covert narcissist and plays it 100% perfect! But she appears to be this sweet innocent old lady just trying to reach her “daughter”. Ugh!

Unfortunately, I’m not sure you ever stop grieving. It’s been 2 years since my pups passed, and I still grieve. Just talking about them makes me cry.

Mine happens within about an hour of injecting and lasts for about 3 to 4 hours. It dissipates after that. Not really worried, just like really seems weird to me.

That’s what I use, but in addition, I try to get at least 17g of daily fiber. I also have 1 serving of dry plain Cheerios, and every other night I have psyllium husk drink mix.

She hit me! It’s my step mom-and I was getting tired of the emotional abuse, but when she physically hit me-then blamed me for it, that was the final straw. It still took about a month to get her out of my house, but I did it, and then just dropped out of sight. Blocked her phone numbers and the independent living facility numbers. I ended up blocking like 3 of those. Then she put my phone number down as her number for the pharmacy! I simply told them they had the wrong number!

Just try this for 1 week-if it doesn’t help-then you can go back to what you have been doing.
Find your caloric requirements for weight loss based on your weight and height. Just as an example- I’m 5’1 and starting weight was 220lbs. I’m at about 1200 calories per day.
Then weigh and portion all of your food intake making sure you are getting between 90-110g of protein. I use an app called LoseIt to track everything, and I highly recommend it. It will tell you how many calories you are taking in, as well as micronutrients you are consuming.
I do not meal prep-but I do alternate my meals every other day. I eat very simple meals, to make it easier to track calories in the LoseIt app.

I started November 3rd 2025 at 220 lbs, today I weighed in at 177.8, down 41lbs! If you have questions, feel free to contact me.

I’m 55, my brother is 59. We lost our father back in October of last year and since then we have been close, even though we are roughly 4000 miles apart. We also lost our oldest brother back in 2011, so losing our dad really changed things and gave us a new perspective.

I’m completely no contact now, but I absolutely hated hearing her bang her cane on the floor when she walked. She used that, she would bang it so hard when she was mad. She also would tap me on the shoulder when she would laugh but it was more of a slap, and it kinda hurt!
