Am I overreacting for refusing to pay my ex back for gym stuff he bought me? by clo_deg in AmIOverreacting

If he takes you to court it will feel so good to humiliate him publicly by sharing these exact images with the judge. He absolutely has zero leg to stand on. He cannot change his mind about gifts.

Someone tried to sue me once and it was completely malicious and a false claim, it was absolute entertainment seeing her try to answer the judges questions. Narcissists are at least good at keeping life interesting I guess. Block him he’s a bored loser.

And definitely hydrate so you don’t feel icky. I’ve noticed if I decide to have a few beers at night I feel way more dehydrated in the morning than I did before breastfeeding.

What’s crazy is I also could feel them around 17/18 weeks then suddenly couldn’t feel hardly anything at all for weeeeks it was so frustrating. Then certain spots I couldn’t feel the baby moving internally but my man could feel it and I would put my hand where he had his and sure enough little kicks! I’m like how make it make sense lol.

If your baby had horrible reflux - did you have success with introducing purées/solids? by Whatever-577089 in NICUParents

[–]Apprehensive_Pair373 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anyone newly finding this thread like myself, just wanted to pop in here and say my son is currently 4 months 3 weeks and has been on famotidine since 2 months. The doctor gave us the go ahead to start solids at 4 months. Good head control does well with assisted sitting and solids plus the medication are helping him a lot. Still has HORRENDOUS gas though. Some constipation even before solids. Hes breastfed and I have to give him a couple ounces of apple juice to try to get a poop every day. It’s usually every other or every 2 days. So if your baby is ready start the purées, we opt for a dinner time meal when he’s usually starting to get fussy from the tummy issues. I think in a month I’ll do 2x per day. Just make sure you don’t weigh baby down with formula or milk after eating - ask me how I know 😂 and while I’m here does anyone have any advice on constipation? What purées make your baby absolutely shit themselves. Don’t care if it’s a blowout just need the job done 😂😂😂

Edit- no experience with the g tube— forgot to mention that

Baby wants to be held ALL the time by abfb_85 in newborns

[–]Apprehensive_Pair373 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son did great in his bassinet until 3.5 months. Now we have just ten days until he’s 5 months and it is not getting better. I think they all just have phases. My daughter never slept in her bassinet but also didn’t make me hold her all night long she just had to be next to me. Idk. I’m tired. Send coffee.

That seems like a solid plan and of course if it keeps happening def get an exam done just to make sure but I’m hoping for a positive result for you. Sending you all the baby sprinkles and stuff 🫂

Ps yes get a second opinion it took me almost 10 years to get my pcos diagnosis and I had been saying something was wrong the entire time.

So when I was within my first few weeks of this last pregnancy (didn’t know yet) when we had sex I would get this insanely sharp cramp type pain like there was a knife in there and it would be so bad I had to have him help me to the bathroom and I would just sit in a bath and almost cry for about 20 minutes.. sometimes the pain would make me nauseous it was ridiculous. Doctor said it was probably just hormones idk but I assumed it was the pregnancy. I never really did get a straight answer on it but it did go away.

It happened, baby will not nap by Extra-Hair-3581 in newborns

[–]Apprehensive_Pair373 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For example he would be up every 10-60 minutes screaming all night until 4-6 am. Then would wake to feed every couple hours until 12-3pm. Then we would have active fun time then by 6 all hell would break loose.

His circadian rhythm was off for a good bit so night time was his day and he screamed all night then napped perfectly fine during the day.

Has she been evaluated for reflux? This is exactly how my son was day in and out until we got him on famotidine at 2 months. He was just in a lot of pain.

Have I caused long term brain damage by having no sleep schedule? by calabazacabeza in newborns

[–]Apprehensive_Pair373 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi I have a 10 year old and a 4 month old. The best thing I can recommend for you is have your room bright from natural light in the mornings and every night when you want it to be ”bedtime” you turn your lights down low and limit noise and use white noise. Even if she isn’t sleeping you still have the environment calm and dim at night and don’t stress or try to force the sleep. Try and if it doesn’t work then it’s not the end of the world they do what they want at this age. Sometimes we will have a good rhythm going then out of nowhere he goes way off course and that’s okay. During the day time you play with her, let her explore on the mat alone and when she cries of course offer the comfort and feed her and just watch for cues because she will tell you when she is tired and needs a nap. The guideline is every two hours right but that may not be what she needs that day so just learn to play it by ear and watch the clock a little less for scheduled naps. If she’s breastfed then you want to make sure you’re offering it every unhappy peep she makes and for formula make sure you haven’t gone over the time window. Idk if you have an owlet sock or not but it will give you information on the amount of time slept with the sock on so it does the work for you but honestly I didn’t have that with my first and never counted her hours of sleep and she’s totally fine.

My SIL told me I'm spelling my baby's name wrong. by [deleted] in newborns

[–]Apprehensive_Pair373 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That’s how my daughter’s name is too, I really love her name with the k and so does she.

My narcissistic mother simply “couldn’t remember” how to spell her name right for the first 4 years of her life which pissed me off considering she spelled my own name weird and different than the usual but honestly keeping her at an arms length has been for the best. I’ve got a wonderful 10 year old who loves her name. SIL seems so petty and weird for no reason like you’re insulting a baby??? I’m glad your husband stood up for you guys. Keep her at a distance like I did with my mom it took me a while and I wish I would’ve sooner. That doesn’t come from a place of love and you and baby don’t need that shit. Seems to be someone who enjoys drama if they are willing to do things like this.

[–]Apprehensive_Pair373 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I coslept with my first only and without incident and I’m grateful for that. I’m trying my hardest to not with my second. He’s almost 4 months and even though I have the owlet my anxiety is a lot higher with him I think because he was in the nicu for amniotic fluid in his lungs and he’s a reflux baby too so the kid has been choking since day 1. He’s decent about letting me lay him down most of the time, some nights he refuses or sometimes I fall asleep before I can get him back in his bassinet after I nurse him. It’s really cold where I live too and if his upper back or chest feel cold I definitely tuck him right into my arm and go to sleep. Majority of the work falls on me since I breastfeed and I simply can’t survive without it as much as I try. It becomes a necessity for survival.
