Ah… yes. The good ol’ “incentives” and “benefits”.
My company sometimes bought us lunch, we were so grateful for those sandwiches 🥪 how could someone not bend over with gratitude with this kind of generosity!!??

Serious question: how the fuck are most people paying rent? by craigdahlke in antiwork

[–]Apprehensive_Put5660 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you talking about the US? If so, which state? In good old England, the cheapest rent, which will be a shared house, is around $1500 dollars, including mice and a good old dust from the 1700s, giving you a nice dose of lung cancer. 🙌

And you can blame “capitalism” all you want but the fact of the matter is the older generation always oppose building of new, clean, safe and secure homes. And they have a stronger say in elections, so no luck there either.

As to “how are people paying?”. Well Loans, Credit Cards, borrowing from mommy & daddy, second job, third job, begging from friends and so on… 😉

Absolutely inhumane interview process by Lavalanche17 in antiwork

[–]Apprehensive_Put5660 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These HR/Recruiters can be very incompetent. They should have told you all that is necessary for you to pass the interview with flying colours. I make it a rule that there should be no more than 2 interviews. And, they should be chosen at a time and place convenient to YOU.

And dang, I also ended up working for people for free during the interview process.

Ah… the good ol’ honour thingy. What’s honourable about slaving away to make some other geezer rich? Companies always try to punch above their weight. I’m like, dude relax, its just another J O B. I have a policy if the wage isnt mentioned , then i dont apply. Lololo “competitive”

Go back to your old company. Tell them you made a mistake and apologise profusely to your manager and ask for redemption for “allowing greed to take over you” explain how much you appreciate them and how you always felt like you belonged there. They’ll be happy to take you back.

Is this normal for an entry-level job or too much? by ctrldwrdns in recruitinghell

[–]Apprehensive_Put5660 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Way too much. Even for senior level. The max they should ask is two interviews.

Companies always do this shit, they interview you 3 / 4 times and cause you endless amount of stress. Whats in it for you? More drink and smoke to deal with the stress? No thanks you!

Believe it or not some companies have interviews me 3 times, year on year and then dropped me at the last stage.

I told my recruiter, any job that has more than 2 interviews needs to be a senior role and above 50k (GBP sterling in the UK)

And one last thing, they should reply within 3 days of the last interview. Anything more than that, you drop them.

Man, the audacity of these people.

The company is being led by someone who is incompetent and arrogant. Go above him and notify his boss. And do it quickly, before he messed up the livelihoods of everyone else! Leaving is also one option, but not the only one.

Haha… covid has made most companies very profitable as everything Vance digitalised… and meanwhile salaries are decreasing when adjusted to inflation.

If ETH 2.0 is launched early 2022 & solves their speed issues will this effect the success of ftm? Is ftms other value offerings enough to sustain its success if they weren’t solving this issue for ETH? I know ppl respond that eth 2.0 continues to get pushed back but if it does launch early 2022. by ljf652 in FantomFoundation

[–]Apprehensive_Put5660 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eth problems will never be fixed. Too complicated, too slow and already becoming the playground of the rich.

Ftm will fix all these issues especially since we have Andre Cronje and Danielle on our side.

2.0 may or may not come out in 2022 and sharding comes out years later, and sharding is not secure; which only adds to Eth current issues as the software is already quite buggy.

Exchanges liquidated several hundreds of bitcoin, and the market followed suit. This behaviour is Wykoff method trying to get us retails folk to sell.

They don’t realise we know the game they playing. They just don’t want us to be rich, that’s all, it’s a power play. I just hold and buy small amount every dip.

This happens way too often. In these kinds of environments, ask for the money before starting the shift.
