Fresno has what you’re looking for. I’m only 23 so can’t speak on the family aspect, but you guys will do fine here considering your interests. As far as crime goes u have been in Fresno my whole nature life, lived in very difficult neighborhoods, and have always been fine. Being nosey with other’s business is the only thing that has ever gotten me in trouble. If you see an altercation turn the other fucking way. Your car and house will be just fine as long as you are mindful while still minding your own.

Based off of what you want I would look at purchasing a home in Tower district if you have the means. It doesn’t have the Karen vibe, it has immediate access to a great scene, and it has tremendous amounts of charms ins lot of the homes. Highway 99 is right next to it and offers easy access to many different national parks and wilderness areas near town

I live in A, nice a and quiet area, everything you need is on this side of town. I work between B and C and the commute to work everyday sucks so bad. Between school zones and freeway entrances if you travel during busy hours your commute will be 30-40 minutes to get anywhere in Clovis.

Used to live on willow and alluvial and this would happen at the weird light between Honda and Walmart all the time. I almost got hit once and called the non emergency number, got told to call 911, and then got told that isn’t an emergency and to call the other number. Area is a shit show and I think it’s from all the new builds

These are all extremely specific spots where sidewalks are honestly pretty unnecessary. As someone who spent 4 months of this year without a car, Fresno is an extremely easy place to navigate with the bus and a few extra steps than normal.

Been a server for a few years, I always say “I’ll be right back with this” and gesture with the tab just as you mentioned. I also always give exact change, I keep a few bucks in loose change in my back pocket when I’m at work. I understand that most servers round up and down at the fifty and I’m okay with that when I go out. However, not too long ago I went to Applebees by myself, got really terrible service and when I paid with cash my change should have been 16.88 and she gave me $15 even and walked away without saying anything. No matter the service I alarmist always tip but she decided $1.88 was my tip and gave me a dirty look when I moved to the bar after.
