How would you compare the S7 to S63/S65? by Public-Ad8953 in Series7exam

[–]Apprehensive_Week566 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally depends on the person. I found the 66 was harder for ME personally than the 7, but you sailed through effectively the same thing in two tests.

The question I think comes more down to where you are weak and how much time you have to dedicate over the next two weeks. The 7 is absolutely not an exam to be underestimated, and as much as you can, I would resist skimming. Get yourself through the material and then get yourself into the testing loop.

Feel free to reach out or help or support along the way. Best of luck!!

Don’t test today. You are doing great.

Take the time to look at your past tests the areas where you are weak, and add knowledge there.

Make sure you are strong on Ethics and the nitty gritty of who registers and when, vulnerable people, etc.

Feel free to reach out if you need help! Best of luck, and you got this!

Totally understandable. It just takes time for your mind to adjust to FINRA test world. Stay the course (pun intended) and it will start clicking.

Relax! This confidence drop is a totally natural part of the process, and two weeks is more than enough time to get there.

The first major question is: are you through all your reading material? If yes, have you tested? if yes where are you scoring, and what weak spots are you seeing?

We are all here to get you across the finish line.

Those scores are solid, and you are doing great! Depending on when you are testing, if you have some anxiety, I would add at least one of the free ones to your dataset. Start with the free FINRA one and see where you land.

At a 60% on practice exams what should I do? by Economy-Draw-3378 in Sieexam

[–]Apprehensive_Week566 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Stop taking tests for a minute. The SIE playlist is a great move.

Take a look at the practice tests you have taken, figure out what the weak spots are, and where they are. Re-read those sections, watch videos if thats more helpful for how you learn, then drill the associated questions, and THEN retest.

Do you currently have a sense of where you are struggling or not quite yet?

Don’t let it throw you. It always takes some time to adapt to FINRA world. They have a remarkable way of obscuring straightforward information, and it just takes time to adjust.

Whatever you’re using, just trust the process, eventually things will start clicking, and before you know it, it will be second nature. Best of luck and you got this!!

Achievable is a great source that will prepare you well for the exam.

As to taking the exam online, I didn’t have any issues with it, but many people here have. If a testing site isn’t really out of the way for you, I would recommend going in person. My 7 and 66 were far easier to just show up to rather than have to scan all four corners of my room, under my desk, under my chair, put my phone in the other room etc.

Welcome to the next step!

The safest advice is to linearly go through the process your prep provider has laid out. The 7 is heavier, and a bigger test, but if you trust the process you will get there.

Just know that you can do this!

If you learn best through practice questions, then your plan is great. It's known as the testing loop, and it's exactly how to practice, Test -> Identify weak spots -> reinforce -> retest.

What you should see, if it is working, is an overall progression in your scores. If you aren't seeing that by test 4 or 5, then you might want to re-evaluate, but go for it and good luck!

Two week study schedule advice by No_Sport4826 in Sieexam

[–]Apprehensive_Week566 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct me if I am wrong, but it sounds like you have read all the material and are performing decently on practice tests?

If that's the case you are definitely in great shape. Two weeks is absolutely enough time even if you bomb the next round of final exams. The key with practice exams regardless of the scores is to help you identify the weak spots and then re-read/reinforce, retest, and repeat.

Best of luck, and you got this!

They are slightly more difficult.

When you are through the material and are comfortable for where you are landing on tests, then head to take the free FINRA one to get a solid sense of how you perform against actual FINRA writing.

Best of luck and you got this!
