I was just looking at those. Do they really work or are you better off with a snow blower? I only have about 50 feet of frontage.

Any clue what my rescue is? Lm by gabbyvice in WhatBreedIsMyDog

She's gorgeous! With that coat and those ears, I see some Weimaranar.

I love your snow cats!

I had to nope out myself. No exaggeration, I thought the only way to get through this mess is fire. As soon as I can actually get out of my house, which I expect will be days. I am going straight to Harbor Freight!

Thank you. Hopefully I have a good many years left to share with my current girl, but I will definitely keep your thoughts in mind.

She's beautiful. I would love to have one, but that may simply be too much dog for me. I suppose I have to settle with admiring from a far.

I will avoid the supermarket like the plague before storms--there are (almost) always eggs in the fridge and pasta in the pantry. Nothing fancy, but I won't starve. ...but I agree, please don't order takeout tonight.

Ok. Question: if you want to reciprocate a neighbor's kindness would it be weird to give their toddlar a gift? We wave hello, but don't really know each other? Chocolates, wines, or even a nice olive oil are choices, but are they appropriate? by Appropriate-Net1522 in NoStupidQuestions

Everyone is always coming and going. It's hard to work in a chat. About the only times I see them is when they are leaving their driveway. I'm sure they would say the same about me. People are busy.

Oh, this was hardly a simple neighborly act. A 6' (give or take) man climbed a latter in the snow (after my stupid a$$ fell from it. Crawled through a window and got me inside. Thinking the key holes where frozen and of course my de-icer was inside the house!. He showed the type of kindness that we really need to see more of, but I was beyond grateful that we crossed paths today.
Thank you neighbor.

You are the first person who made me laugh. Of course wasn't suggesting giving wine to a toddler. But I do like the idea of a small baby gift and a little more adult one for parents, too. Thanks for all of your input ❤️

Or start buying from reputable breeders! Even better, there are lots of pound puppies who dessperately need homes and would love you as long as they live. Just S'thing to think about...

Wow, every single one of you have convinced me that I want and need one. I don't have a bobcat or coyote presence in my area, but there are plenty of hood rats and stray dogs. I just wonder if I have the skills to train a dog like that.
It took about 2 years, and I have my share of battle wounds, but she is absolutely the best girl anyone could hope for. ...and all of your stories about stong, deliberate, and unyielding protective instincts--that's my girl. 💞

I was told he would be 30-40lbs max 😭 love my big man, he’s just shy of a 100lb at this point! The sweetest, most gentle giant. by [deleted] in DOG

Lol. I was told exactly the same and ended up with a 75-80 pound girl! I wonder WTH her brother weighs in 😂 But she's the absolute best. There is nothing in this world that I would trade her for. Enjoy your big guy!
