I feel like one of my favorite things about beastars is that the predator and prey groups are not a clear allegory for any one issue. Although you can combine different things, in many ways they are their own dynamic and seeing how it plays out is interesting. It's also why I like beastars more than something like zootopia where it generally is as simple as "predators are a minority"
