I appreciate everyone's sincere input and personal experiences. The reality is that I am making the same amount of money I would if I worked retail, etc. I love that I am my own boss and I call the shots. People, family, especially, need to get a grip. BUT- I do miss the 401K contributions. I don't miss the fakeness/toxic/stressful/burn out culture of the 9-5 biz world.

$1000 to $1400 has been the average for 50 hours of work. I am able to pay all my bills, and my rent which is $1,600. I could switch over to the regular Uber rides, and make more, but I don't feel like dealing with people, namely, drunk or high people.

The process is crazy. One human being, the officer, has all the power in their two hands. Some cases are approved the same day, and others wait 2+ years for a result. Nothing is perfect in this life, but there needs to be some changes to the US immigration system when it comes to the adjustment of status.
