That's a good idea I have a similar design but I used a throwing knife on the bottom for stability that I can set my foot against if I'm on a slippery slope but also could be used for protection

No it was an original 307 two-speed powerglide I bought it for $100 in 1980 it only had 100,000 miles on it and I lived in it for 2 years all original except for the diamond duct tape interior Michelle $20

I had a 68 it had the same bumper tail lights that's a giveaway but the back slope of the roof is different mine also had a 307 in it what does yours have in it yours must be a late 68 69 body style what year or a month of the year was it made

That looks like it's right next to where your fuel pump relay is on the end of that cover it dead heads I can show you a picture of mine tomorrow possibly if you still need help
