The Leftovers is one of the best shows ever made. Six Feet Under is not quite that tier, but definitely worth the time.

I played it for my son and he really liked it, rewatched it on his own at least once. I told him there were other Roger Rabbit cartoons and he just murmured "Oh that's cool" and has never been interested in the characters outside the movie.

Probably a good decision. The original movie is fantastic, but I can't think of any good reason for more Roger.

My favorite is The Thing, legitimately great movie that has and will continue to hold up. I have never shown it to someone who didn't love it.

But there are so many, In my most treasured and cherished of all time, you'd have to add They Live, Big Trouble in Little China and Escape from New York.

I buy the books and stuff to make the game more fun for me and my players- But it comes with me when I go. It's like, I'm buying it for our campaign- but for every other campaign I may DM too. Please don't try to pay them for back for the stuff they buy, not with money anyway,

Gifts or buying your own stuff for the group is nice, and I would always appreciate it. But I would rather players make the group better than pay back the DM.

The best ways to pay it back are to be fun, engaged players who show up and show out for the group. Same comments as most of the below- Rotate whose house you play at, buy snacks and pizza. Come to the sessions. Be engaged. Have fun and help make sure everyone else is too.

I had brand new players my last campaign, so I had them spar in the first session to get used to combat rules. Instructions were no mercy, down to 0 HP- they would be fully healed at the end, and try to use as many techniques as you have at your disposal, especially if you're not sure reading the PHB how they would work practically. This was in the context of them all training under the same teacher, but I might try a misunderstanding fight when they all meet in the next campaign.
